So, they introduced the Third Gorgon sister in Soul Eater Not!

Her name's not Greek! She must be a fake! Well, that's my dream anyway. I suppose it wouldn't make too much of a difference, but it'll annoy me. Incidentally, her name is Arabic for one of the stars in the Scorpio constellation, so I guess she's a scorpion witch.

I'm cautiously pessimistic about this new Gorgon sister... I mean Arachne was almost omniscient and Medusa was one of the best fighters, the best tactician, very good at manipulating people and she wasn't half bad at inventing stuff. This woman just seems so inferior and her traitors had a hard time against Shibusen's NOT students but who knows what Atsushi has planned with her.

I think the primary problem is her introduction... its just so utterly anti-climatic.

Medusa got her formal villainous introduction as being the one behind crona who was kicking Maka's ass. Arachne got her introduction kicking around crona like she was nothing and with a minion like giriko who duked it out with a death scythe... The other problem is that at this early stage we do not take soul eater not as seriously as we do soul eater... if this were soul eater, Shaula might seem like a threat based on name recognition alone and not need a badass intro, But this is soul eater not, a series that has yet to prove itself as a serious series; name recognition alone won't fly, she needs a badass intro or some serious build and she just didn't get it.

I remind you all that the author is working in 2 series that get released together each month, which is so much work. I could care less when this month original series chapter is +30 pages long.

That was a bit odd... 9 pages on the one before? But anyways this chapter was alright. Kind of dislike the ridiculous slow pace that it kind of goes on, but besides that I guess we know how Kim and Jaceline got together now

I love Soul Eater Not so far, it shows the other side of Shibusen (which we do not see much in Soul Eater). Usually in Soul Eater they just go on missions and stuff, so some of the explanations on how other students go about their everyday lives are in question. Although, I do hope that Oobuko Atsuchi can keep up with the mangas.

The scanlations for the latest chapters have been so bad...but I guess you can still sort of figure out what they're talking about. If you squint. Maybe.

Well, at least the chapters themselves are pretty good, if short. It's Liz and Patty's turn to show up, and now Tsugumi and Anya are getting into a fight with them, lol. Should be pretty interesting.

About the scanlations? Well, I thought it should be pretty clear if you just read them, but I was referring to stuff like sentence structure, grammar, and just the overall logical formation of the sentences. It basically reads like directly transliterated Japanese that doesn't even necessarily fully grasp the meaning of the Japanese sentences--like a translation that's a couple steps above google translate, but actually not that different overall in terms of what if feels like in reading it.

I just noticed the (L) on this thread: is the reason scanlations have stopped/slowed down on this series because it has been licensed? I hadn't realized.

I understand what you're saying, and maybe I'm not reading it too carefully, but isn't the poor grammar because they're talking in slang or like thugs?

And no, it's because the mangaka skipped last month and is planning to skip another month (I think). God, I feel more and more the mangaka is falling down the same dark path as Frank Miller.

I did not recognize Liz at first, it was not until Patty showed up did it actually click; ah I enjoy the cameo's so much. Also did not realize that Tsugumi's transformation lacks a blade, so her transformation is still incomplete. And i just LAMO at that last page! Tsugumi should know better; they're not just american delinquents, they're from new york

if you look st the bullet in the backgraned on the last page of chapter 10 it has elizabeth thompson on it or patricia thompson on it.
but if you go back to chapter 3 of soul eater the bullet case has death on it.
