I don't see why it didn't sell well, the plot may not impress us at the beginning but I thought it got better halfway and a shame it had little popularity (then again its source material is like that until recently).

Tokyo Ghoul's looks intriguing and I had heard good things about it, the only thing it had me worried is the horror parts, I knew they are only secondary to the story but what concerns me is whether or not I will get past the gory feel has yet to come when I'll watch it (I've never been a fan of horror genre and never will and I only had mild tolerance for gore).

But in any case I agree that one cour would suck for this, not to mention there is no decent stopping point in the earlier chapters aside from one particular "fight".
This is why I hope it's not one cour, only because there's not a really good stopping point in the early chapters, that the audience could feel satisfied about after watching.

The gore levels in Tokyo Ghoul is similar to what you'd find in the SnK manga, at least so far from what I've read of the English scanlation, it's possible it gets worse later, and perhaps someone who reads the RAWS can clue us in. But I think if you can stand the SnK manga than you could stand TG.

Yeah, well there are bits that are probably a bit more gorey than the earlier stuff, later on. Stuff they'd definitely need to sensor.

Finally read all the translated chapters. I'm excited for this series.

Looking forward to KanaHana's performance as Rize.

Sweet. Going by that (and the trailer) it should definently be 2-cour...unless we have the second coming of the Zetman anime (but this is relatively popular in Japan so I'm gonna assume not)

*sobs* Please don't bring up Zetman.
Man someone screwed the dog on that one.
I don't think this anime will pull that though, judging by the characters shown in the trailer. At least, I hope to god that doesn't happen

A good choice for Gourmet. Personally, I was thinking Namikawa would get the role, but Miyano is good choice.

I personally would have liked him as well or Yuuki Ono after hearing him voice Moral on Hamatora.

I really liked his performance in Hamatora as well. It helped me appreciate the range that he is capable of. Ryota Ohsaka too.
