Glad that Log Horizon is back on air~ It was one of the most surprisingly enjoyable anime of last year, one which I honestly didn't think much of when I first read the synopsis & saw the PV animation. So looking forward to what S2 brings to the table.

The song had become iconic for the series. That doesn't always happen, even with popular series that have really nice OPs. In this case though, it would have been hard to imagine Log Horizon without it, and any other OP, no matter how good, would have faced a massive uphill battle for acceptance.

Good that Log Horizon is back, it was a good start and you can feel the change in studio too, here the thing I sometimes feel the animation got worst and it other times that it got better while watching the episode. It was good idea to use Database again.

Since I didn't actively check news regarding S2, I didn't know the studio has changed, and man, it was painfully obvious.
Nothing exactly atrocious per se, but aside of hair being a bit whacky at times (especially Mari's hair), eyes were also a bit different (Regan and Akatsuki) or even not consistent after few scenes (Shiroe looks like a complete different character by the end of the ep after Kinjou left). Body builds were also altered... for instance, Naotsugu and Nyanta look a wee bit more skinny. Not saying the studio in charge of S1 did an outstanding job, but it was less "rough" I would say. At least, S2 animation is less clunky and there are more details at times. Now that aside, the plot progression is kicking in high gear, which is very welcome after the sort of slow previous arc we got in the first season. While the teaser at the start of the episode was a bit blunt, it sure made me look forwards to it.

Also, from what little we've seen of her, it might also be appropriate to describe her as "shameless." She's a bundle of cheerful energy who does what she wants because she enjoys it. I doubt she cares too much what people think of her.

You bet, he even suggested just go in there and rob the place. You could say that this episode Regan comes off more like a perfect partner-in-crime for The Villain in Glasses. Come to think of it, I think pantsugu also acts like the Morality Chain for Shiroe here. I mean if he hadn't chosen to tag along, Shiroe might actually follow Regan's advice.

Anyway, I'm glad that LH is back to balance my anime diet (too much giant robots is not good for my health ).

Not so odd. Minori is only 14 yo now. She does all the right things to socialize with a guy. If she ages in Log Horizon, she'll become a socially acceptable 16 yo, 18 yo and beyond beauty. Her potential outweighs Akatsuki's in that department.
