Bleach Episode 219 Discussion Thread

I actually didn't really like this episode. Probably because I'm not much of Hisagi fan but the preview for next episode looks promising

I like how all the captains were all "o shi, is that Hisagi's punk bitch ass? Yeeeaaaa boy." Of course Yamaji was all "zzzzzz."

I was late watching Bleach this week.
Anyway, I wonder who was in charge of this week's episode... wonder if it was a fujoshi
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought Hisagi's popularity lies mostly in the fujoshi population... so this made me wonder if the staff are playing favourites when it comes to "ok, now which character's episode shall we allocate more ¥¥¥ to?"

since hisagi is one of my fav. chars i really enjoyed seeing his zanpakutou released!

When he released Kazeshine it kindof reminded me when Hitsugaya released Hyuourinmaru when he was fighting Daruku and got entangled in her "web-thingy"

EASILY the best animated episode of Bleach in like... 20-30 ish episodes (Oh, who am I KIDDING? I don't think I've seen that kind of quality for maybe 40 or 50 episodes). I'm not even freakin' kidding here. I can't remember when a single fight seemed to be this fleshed out. I mean, the fight was not really noteworthy in the manga in freeze-frame and cutting out a lot of slight details in the fight. The anime version of the fight is actually way, way better.

Shuuhei isn't my favorite exactly, but who cares? That was simply kick ass. You can't admit otherwise.

And maybe as a sidenote, if Shuuhei keeps getting this kind of exposure in manga/anime, I just might become his fan after all.

I'm not a Hisagi fan either but his shikai was cool and I liked the episode.

By the way, how do you guys even recognize this quality stuff, do you search for it or? I dunno but I never even noticed anything in Bleach quality except for the battle grimmjow vs ichigo in HM, there I saw something out of ordinary. The only thing in Bleach quality that I really noticed was that in one of the openings, dunno which one, but in the end of the OP Ichigo stands with his sword and his nose looks really stupid.

You can see it in movement flow, angular shapes or moves, stuff like that.

Something that did really surprise me in this episode though... those things around Hisagi's arms
... Who else thought they were just tattoos? Now I won't be surprised if even the "69" on is face was explosive lol

Speaking of which, 69 has got to be the worst position ever.

So the dude is pretty good it seems. I rather like his fighting style, and I got nothing much to say about the animation. It was outstanding, though it does give me a chuckle to see them budget so heavily for a character that lacks air-time.

One thing I just don't get: He's got the tattoo, the explosive belt thingies: I like those accessories, they give him a very unique look. The one thing that ruins it for me is the massive scar across his right eye. It looks as if he went shikai against a housecat and lost.
