As what i understand, 11 months ago, the manga was rejected because it was not "yuri" enough. Then the mangaka just insert lots of yuri-subtext in to live up with the tittle, even make a spin off tittle (Yuri Yuri) that actually on yuri couples. And thank to that, now we have the anime!!
I actually won't expect much until i watched the 1st chapter of course. Not only because it could be fake news, but the adaptation may turn out not as good as expected

I don't know if they gonna tone down them or not. Otherwise this anime will definitely classed 'echi'

Finally a full yuri series again. The last yuri series ever shown is Sasameki Koto in Autumn 2009.
While I'm not really looking forward to it but at least I'm glad there is a new yuri series coming up after I disgusted with too many yaoi shows in this Spring. |

Don't hope too much because the yuri in the manga does not really live up to its title. (unless they animate the Yuri Yuri short manga, which gonna be HNNNGGGGG)
Let's just say it will be all subtext for fanbases and yuri fan services PS: Hopefully the design will be faithful

For me there is alot to look forward to, I'm particularly looking forward to the 2 tsuntsun girls, they are in the serious tsun business and without the dere(I have to admit I really like Himawari, I'm a big fan of the braided tails)

I really hope that they animate "Yuri Yuri 1". That's girl in there is just like a high-school Kyouko. I totally can see Kyouko grow up and turned out to be a shy type

yay!!! i'm so happy it's finally getting an anime, for REAL this time!! XDD
anyhow, the manga wasn't that explicit with the yuri. i think it's a little higher than k-on when it comes with the subtext. XDD

It's all subtext and fan teasing of course. But if they are faithful with adapatation, there will be plenty of good echi yuri fan service in Yuru Yuri

While there's a few fairly recognizable names in the supporting characters (Emiri Katou, Aki Toyosaki, Saki Fujita, Ayana Taketatsu, Suzuko Mimori [my Milky Holmes fannishness is shameless and all-encompassing]), the leads are all fairly new. Which should make the series interesting.

So this is slated to air in summer, and it will be animated by Dogakobo.

There isn't much actual yuri, honestly; just a couple of one-sided crushes and one girl's constant fantasizing. Still, at least something from Yuri Hime is finally getting an anime adaptation, even if it's probably the series with the least amount of actual yuri in it. Maybe if it's successful there will be more yuri in anime. I want my Girl Friends anime already.
