the book is released the first week of the month unless there is a Jump square 19 chapter which is put out in on the 19 th of February, May, August, and November. So it's about a week or so too early for raws to possibly be leaked yet.

You don't know Rozen Maiden? It's a tribute to it. Other famous artists (like Takeshi Obata) have drawn illustrations as well.

What? That people can be shy? What's unrealistic about that? Before I had the confidence to actually ask women out, I spent an entire two years pining over a classmate in high school being shy as f*ck and not admitting it until the last few months of the second year. So there's already an "unrealistic" thing that happens a lot, because not only me, but I've also met other men and women who were also "slow" on the uptake. A lot of people in my school were also like that.

Also, sometimes people are hesitant to say things like these, because it might ruin their friendship. You are happy being able to talk with so and so girl, or so and so guy. But what if they said "no" to your proposal? Talking to them becomes super awkward. Friends are the hardest to ask out on dates, because of the chance of friend-zone or complete separation. It's way easier to ask out some random woman at a bar, at work, or at a convention.

The problem is the wide majority of Japanese 'love' stories are like this. It'd be nice if some stories were based on the old Can't Spit It Out/Moment Killer/Cockblocking/Can't Decide For One mechanics and others weren't, but the thing is, this kind of stories is so prevalent, there's next to no variety, at least not in Shonen. Shoujo and Seinen are far better at displaying relationships that actually do develop.

That, and the Japanese seem to have this weird black and white mentality where guys are either mega-repressed or mega-perverts, and a boy having intimacy with a girl will automatically push him into a disastrous life of promiscuity a la School Days.
