I would understand frustration about RNG screwing every possible attempts (like people full kirakira for 5-5 sortie + testing several composition), but if you are deliberately making the game more difficult than it actually is, you are reaping what you sow.

Just so you can try: 2-5 is absolutely easy mode if you take 6 CA/V or 5CA/V + 1 CLT (assuming you took 2 drums with you). As long as you bring decent ships in the lot, even "non optimized" CA like the Furutaka and Mogami class can do the trick.
It almost sound like the boss node is nerfed if you go through the north path.

Do you have the night battle plane? Also what is actually your setup?

Hey it's a game. I means you have to try beat it on hard once you cruise through easy mode right? Isn't that the standard way to do it?

I'm actually running the FBB's due to really low level as compared to more meta-playstyles. 32-33 all sisters

I've been leveling each of my ships equally which means I have an extremely low ship level average. Around 18ish because I only stop leveling them once I remodel. Weird obssession and all.

I'll try running more main guns in the next attempt then.

EDIT: I'll see to leveling the others. But I don't think I can manage my resources to go leveling and send 2CV+4FBB on regular sorties while everyone else is farming 3-2 or something. My lone sub is also pretty high level rendering that plan less than effective. I have not had luck with getting more subs.

It's only qualified as "hard" if everyone has equal opportunities.

But right now what we have is those who joined late are barred from accessing equipments with vital utility such as Spring Event's Reppu Kai and the currently unavailable Reppu 601.

While I agree that veterans should have some sort of priviledge, I don't think newbies should be completely stripped of the eventual chance of access especially when it comes to something as important as air power. And I'm not refering to the event reward, I'm talking about the dev's attitude regarding planes in general. Best recent example: We don't get to mod planes using Akashi factory.

Either that or the devs just hate CVs.

And that's exactly my point. Chances are, you won't even be able to get one at all, ever. At best you'll get 601 from Unryuu and that's probably all they'll give you in the future unless they somehow decided to make ReppuKai a Shinano Kai stock equipment, which I doubt.

Well, i don't really mind missing it. And already got the 601 from Unryuu whos remodeling got postponed because of the Fusou sisters.
True that the AS from kai helps a lot but yeah, I can manage without it. That is, unless the devs release future events requiring tons of AS (300+) to work

Early june. Had toooo much time until the end of november so my progress is fast.

Ah, okay, haha. I started in the last June days and my highest DD is level 78 Yudachi. In fact in only have 7 ships above 80 and none above 98. Have to do some serious leveling now that I am not all too far from HQ level 100.

I'm one of those guys that will never reach the top spots. I mean in Palau, there's this John Smith guy who basically blows everyone out, even no.2 has some catching up to do.

Also I am still envious of people who have Reppu Kais and Shinden in thier inventories.

yes we need more equal opportunity for better equipments, not something that can be acquired after basically a korean-style grindfest.

Kana is like 107.

Within 6 months flew to 107, now that's FAST.
