For the record, any weapon in P3 was able to get a suprise attack. It's just the more the range, the better. Bows were crazy because you can aggro a shadow, go up a flight of stairs, and shoot down on the shadow that just lost sight of you for an effortless sneak attack.

Not to mention that after a battle, shadows can't see you for 3 seconds or so, and the extra range of the bow gives you the extra mile needed to reach the next shadow for an effortless sneak attack. And after that battle, you have another 3 seconds or so to get another sneak attack, and so on and so forth with you making a chain. VERY USEFUL in gold monster only floors, because once you are able to sneak attack one, you could very well clear out the entire floor before the Reaper even appears.

Granted, the above can be done by other weapons, but the bow makes it so much easier because of range. And now that male MC has the vastly inferior weapon (1h vs female MC's spear), I think that pretty much settles who I'm going to use when it gets here in NA.

the Game will be released in November, Famitsu always giving score for game one/two weeks before they are released.

On the last Atlus Express they gave a bunch of new information, mainly about the S. links.

Few interesting ones are:
- Shinjiro is getting an S. link
- female MC will have several dateable S. links, but you can choose to be friends or lovers with them (yay! I really really didn't want to date Akihiko or Junpei cause it would feel just wrong Hopefully this change extends to male MC too so I don't need to date Mitsuru anymore XD)
- S. links won't go in reverse anymore by not meeting them for a long time, but they can still go reverse through dialogue choices.
- NG+ will inherit the usual stuff even if you change MC (but if you choose Maniac you can't inherit anything)
- the reason why there were screens showing Rio and Tomochika together are that they are childhood friends and they'll appear in each other's S. links.

But man, I'm really going for female MC now, just to see Rio's S Link. Sure hope its something about consoling poor Kenji's broken heart lol.

There are so many new things to the female MC's path, there is no doubt it will be my first playthrough unless there are some unannounced events for Minato which I doubt; otherwise it shouldn't fit onto a single UMD.
