As one of the responses in your link says, what Mashima actually said was "Nishimoto-san did the character designs for today's anime, Original characters will appear!" Nishimoto-san being the same guy that designed the dolphin guy from a few episodes ago.

I've been watching the Anime as of late and I'm kind of really into it again

My favorite fight has to be Natsu / Gajeel V.S Sting / Rouge , I keep re watching it. Music and fights were excellent, the way it ended was pretty cool too in my opinion

Animation quality is a bit off at times but not too bad.

Yes, I read the Manga too but I like the way it's been done.

Natsu has been pretty boss this arc, what I liked about this arc was that we got to see a lot of information on Dragon Slayers and action from them. Even mighty Ezra seemed useless during these fights

Actually can they even still use that or does the new studio and it being technically a different show mean they can't use the old BGM and soundeffects anymore?

Cause I remember way back when, the Megaman Battle Network anime was off the air for like 2 years before returning, but because it was technically a different show they couldn't use any old soundtracks and couldn't flashback to the first show using footage from it (instead all flashbacks to events from the first show had to be reanimated from scratch)

is it cause its a good sound effect or is it cuz u like seeing big boobed naked women (thats a rhetorical question btw). But one of the things the anime has historically done along with the manga its that it fails to really make many ugly women.

I doubt it. The BGM has been mostly the same if you look into it (and I think we even had a few flashbacks to the first show) so I think it's mostly a slight change in direction. The sound effect was always rather silly (as were the magic circles that gradually disappeared thankfully).

Krono is correct.

にしもとさん が デザインしてくれた
On that form of verb (te kureta) the ga indicates who is doing the action. So Nishimoto is the one who did the design.

UOU you're right! I just went and rewatched the scenes to catch and it really is there! It's subtle but they used it right after the separator at the half point of the episode. At long last the sound effect is back!

At least they brought something back. I can barely remember if they used the Dragon Slayer theme, or any songs from the original soundtrack. Is the composer the same?

Not sure if the composer is the same but I think I recall them using the same overall tunes from the original show. I'm pretty sure I've heard a new mix of the Fairy Tail theme in the new anime for example.

The "wow" sound effect is a pretty common stock sound effect. For that matter, most sound effects are either stock sound effects widely available, or what are called Foley sound effects, that anyone is free to make their own version of. So they're basically guaranteed to be able to still use the old sound effects.

The background music is a bit more complicated. In theory with A-1 being the main studio both times, they should have access to the old background music. In practice, copyright can be weird and they might not be able to use the same background music. I've seen people say they haven't heard the old bgm, and people that say they have. Even if they haven't used the same bgm thus far, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. New production would mean new soundtrack budget and they'd probably want to show off new sound tracks.

Umm, the longest gap for the Rockman.exe anime was for 6 months between the original series and Axess. I don't recall there being a particular issue with old footage between the various series, but it's been quite a while.

As an addendum, "Nishimoto-san" would be Hideo Nishimoto, author of the Weekly Shounen Magazine series Chotto Morimashita. Nishimoto also designed, Eizi & Pandō, the guy with the dolphin from a couple episodes ago.

So he's not in a position to "tell" Mashima to do anything, and it's no surprise he would design another anime original character given he'd already designed one for some reason.

I could have sworn it was longer. Regardless however, soundtracks from .exe were never used after it ended, where as Axess tracks were used well into Beast, 2 years later. Which was rather noticable because one of them was an instrumental version of the Axess opening, which was still being used even though Stream and Beast had different openings.

They also reanimated flashbacks from .exe. Which was most noticible because they forget to use the old PET designs.

As far as FT's ost, while one track or two sounds similar to old music they haven't used any of the old tracks from what I can tell. Even the title card music is different.

Certainly is a tough thing to get through these dragons.

Really is no wonder that in a timeline where Rogue managed to get a ridiculous amount of dragons through the gate that everything went bad in a hurry. Just this many is proving an incredibly difficult task to handle. The only legitimate damage done really is by Natsu and that's thanks to getting a power up straight from a fire dragon.

It doesn't seem like the others are going to luck out and run into similar element dragons to get another boost from. Probably a good call really to have Laxus back up Wendy, with the durability of these things she'll need all the help possible.

Does seem to just continue cementing that rather than Igneel and company leaving their dragon slayer kids behind, the kids were sent off to the future somehow and the dragons were left behind. Even if these things live a seriously long time it still feels right.

And while Ultear is trying to do the right thing for the future, I think she'd be screwing up to continue with her plan. Really in the best case doesn't this just snap the timeline back to the original one?

It seems like the situation is timeline #1 where Acnologia appears and pretty well takes over the world. Rogue survives, goes somewhat crazy and comes up with his plan leading to timeline #2. There Rogue gets a stupid amount of dragons through the gate and pretty well takes over. Then you have Lucy going back in time triggering the current timeline #3. Rogue only gets a handful through and we have this ongoing brawl. Of course there could be a lot more timelines involved since Rogue was convinced Lucy closed the gate at some point. So maybe #3 is where Lucy closes the gate and we are in timeline #4 where Rogue goes to kill Lucy to ensure his plan succeeds.

I don't know, time travel is a pain to work through .
