In chapter 203 Makarov has said : "In ancient times, that island was said to have a fairy living in it", the little girl is probably a fairy.

I'm also expecting them to be sent to the future or the past, I don't see any reason for hiding during 7 years after that.

Prior to 736. It is not specify but the earliest definite time of Fairy Tale's existence is 736 where Makarov becomes the successor to Hades. Since Makarov was 40 then and Hades is hella old, then Fairy Tail is probably around created around 500-600.

Since we got ourselves a nice, juicy time skip, I really do have to wonder how the anime will fill it, if they will at all. I have the feeling that the basis of what will be used for such possible material will be laid out over the next few chapters; maybe kind of mention what happened over the years, thus letting the anime flesh the crap out of it (like how Gray and Erza mentioned Gajeel saving them in the Edolas arc, and then the anime came up with an exclusive subplot that leads to and depicts their rescue). In fact, do you think Hiro Mashima actually made the time skip for the express purpose of giving the anime an excuse to fall behind?

ivan can't step, he is the head of a dark guild, The council won't let that happen.

told you guys there was a timeskip. It would be so much better if the dragon kill off Makarov then destroy the island. Now I think that all the members on the island are still alive.

well, I do agree with SoFarGone here. All members must be still alive somewhere, but what's the significance of that little boy? someone's child? it's been 7 years after all. And look, he's got a scarf too...... but with black hair. Not chibi Zeref version?
