Btw, you know how people say if Fate died Nanoha would be with Yuuno, and if Yuuno died she’d get with Fate?
I think that’s totally wrong... if Fate died... Nanoha would go to be with Vita… XD
Heres part 1 fo my fic Despair, part do is gonna be a songfic where Nanoha goes insane. XD Suggested theam? VITOHA!
Spoiler for Despair:
“Mrs. Takamachi! We need to get out of here right now!”
Nanoha fought against the see of people rushing out of the lobby to the housing building, trying to get back to her room. Vivio was still in her room, as was Fate who was unconscious and unable to move. A hand reached out to her and grabbed her by the wrist, and pulled the brunette farther out of the building.
Nanoha screamed out. She was unable to fly, barley able to walk do to the accident that had taken place a month ago, unable to get to Vivio or Fate who was surly asleep inside their home.
“Vivio! Fate! Let me up there now!” Nanoha’s screams were silenced as small explosions erupted all around the base startling everyone nearby.
~
Fate’s eyes opened slowly, ‘What is going on? What’s with all the noise?’ The blond looked to her side as something kept pushing on dangling arm. “Vivio…?” Fate’s voice was small and weak
Vivio looked up at her Mama and whimpered out trying to arouse the now conscious female more. “Mama… Mama…” Small tears shone in her eyes as the whimpers grew louder to the older blonde.
The announcement was blaring through the building and finally reached Fate’s ears. “This base is to be abandoned. All personal have successfully evacuated the building.” Fate was surprised by the voice and tried to sit upright but was hindered. The cast that adorned her legs and torso made it so difficult to even move.
With a thud, Fate fell from the giant bed landing hard on the floor, followed by Vivio soon after. Very scared of what was going on around their home.
~
Nanoha struggled against the crowd that was now heading towards a boat to take them to the main land, now that the bridge had been destroyed. “Fate-chan! Vivio!” Her screams were met on the deaf ears of escape.
It was then that it happened, a bright light shot overhead and everyone near by turned to look at it with surprise. The look of horror spread across the injured Ace’s face as she stared at the building that was hit.
~
Fate had managed to get to her feet, along with Vivio tugging on her arm.
“Mama, we go now!” The small blonde pulled on her mother’s arm, the other wrapped around the bunny plush that Vita had given her the week before.
Fate had made it to the door that opened into the hallway just as a bright flash caught her and Vivio’s attention. Both blondes turned their heads to the side to stare, eyes opened wide.
~
Flames erupted into life as the explosion sent a shockwave across the ground, knocking down everyone in a few mile radius. Nanoha was thrown to her butt and stared at the rubble, the flames light reflected in her shocked eyes.
The girl raised a single arm and held up upwards, pointed at the now engulfed building that still had Fate and Vivio inside. “Fate…-chan… Vivio…. NOOO!”
The loud shriek gathered the attention of the people near by, and they stared at the usually very strong girl, frightened at what had caused the outburst. Nanoha’s arm went limp as her head fell backwards, landing with a soft thud unconscious before she even hit the ground.
~
A month had passed since the attack. The TSAB had managed to push back the invaders, even with out the White Devil and Terror of Death on the front lines. But it was at a cost they wish they never had to pay. Many of their most talented mages had been killed in the confrontation, to many lives destroyed.
Vita walked through the hospital’s hallway with Zafira walking silently behind her. The red-head had decided to cast a powerful transformation spell on herself, making some passer-by’s believe she and Zafira were a pair.
Vita scoffed every time someone asked, as Zafira tried his best to get out of the situation.
They had finally arrived at their friend’s hospital room; the Hammer knight rapped lightly on the door and turned the knob slowly.
“Nanoha?”
The brunette didn’t answer but only turned her head to look at the intruders. Her eyes stared back at them blankly, and caused Vita to lightly tear in the eyes as she stared at her secret love in this state.
“Ah, Vita-chan, and Zafira too? How are Signum and Hayate doing? I hope their well.” The brunette replied in a small voice. “Have you seen Fate-chan or Vivio? They haven’t come to visit me yet.” Her voice sounded sad at the last statement and this caused Vita further pain.
“I’m sorry Nanoha… They are very busy… at the moment.” The girl’s voice cracked as she swallowed the lump in her throat.
Zafira took the initiative to step forward and sit Vita down, and talk to Nanoha. His deep voice seemed to sooth both girls and Nanoha just stared up at him. “Hayate and the others are doing fine, they send their whishes to you Nanoha, and want nothing more then for you to get better.”
Nanoha seemed to smile, even if it was a hollow smile. “Thank you, Zafira.” Her head turned in her pillow to stare at Vita, who was still silently sobbing to herself. “Vita-chan? Why is Vita-chan crying?” Her voice caused Vita-s eyes to open widely and realize she let herself break down.
“Nothing Nanoha, I’m ok now,” sniffling, Vita lifted her head and smiled brightly at the other girl who smiled back. “I’m sorry Nanoha, I am very much,” Vita had gotten to Nanoha’s side in an instant and took hold of the girl’s hand, and squeezed it firmly.
Nanoha reached up a hand to the red-heads hair and petted her softly, causing the knight to lay her hand in the brunettes lap. Nanoha stared on the red hair that she now ran her fingers through, her eyes blank, and out of focus.
“I wish Fate-chan and Vivio where here.” The words were spoken in a light whisper again, but the two in the room picked up on them easily.
Zafira stood and decided to leave the room, letting his two friends be alone.
Vita’s tears flowed from her blue eyes once again as Nanoha’s petting continued.
~
1 Year later.
Vita and Nanoha walked up the steep green hill together, hand in hand. Together they stopped at a lone memorial that looked to be beaten and battered. Nanoha and Vita stared down at the stone tablet reading out the names of their friends for the fourth time that week.
Caro, Vice, Signum, Shamal, Hayate… the list went on and on. Nanoha’s eyes stopped at two names she’ll never forget, for as long as she lives. Vivio. And Fate T. Testarossa. Memories of that night played over in her mind as tears shown over her dark blue eyes. Vita noticed and leaned over, pulling the ex-flight instructor into her arms, her own tears falling into the brown locks of the girl she held firm.
Vita pulled Nanoha’s face up to her own; Nanoha’s sad blue eyes stared back up into her own.
Guilt washed over the red-head as she pressed her lips against the brunette lightly before pulling away and cradling the girls head once again.
Nanoha’s eyes closed as she took the comfort from Vita’s arms around her body. Both girls sat on the grass and silently cried together into the night.
“I’m sorry Nanoha…” Vita’s lips pressed against the girl’s hair as the sobs continued.
Oh yeah, Satashi, I used your tearm Terror of Death for Fate from .hack//roots and G.U. ^_^;;; I couldn't come up with something. XD

I sorta agree there Keroko with the forcefullness of 'X dies and Y ends with Z' but it just started out for a silly idea for a sonfic that... grew into a angst prolouge somehow o.O

One of the main advantages of Nanoha is that there are a lot of romantic subtext for many characters, but never a true 'I love you.' So you don't need to kill off anyone, because there are hints enough to use. :3
Of course, the disadvantage is that there will be no stop to the ship wars, but you can't please everyone.

*sniffs some crack, missing the 'angst' label on it*
Spoiler for Final Battle:
The landscape before me lay barren. Only a small amount of vegetation had manged to take hold on this rocky, arid terrain. Boulders of various sizes were scattered about, more than likely from the cliff face that I was standing on. The cliff wasn't extremely high, but it did offer a good view of the ground below. A boom of thunder in the distance catches my attention for a moment. It was still a fair distance away, but from the winds it was probably heading our way. Especially if the darkening skies above was any clue. A thunderstorm over a barren landscape. I couldn't help but smile a bit. It was almost like we were in some cheesy Earth film. All we needed now was some dramatic background music.
"Something up, Signum?"
I turned to the one who had addressed me. The Iron Hammer Knight stood behind me, hands on her hip and Device over her shoulder. "Ah, it's nothing. Just thinking."
She looked at me for a moment before shrugging and walking away. I turned a bit and watched her. Vita stopped a few meters back when she got to where Shamal and Zafira were standing. They began to talk, but I couldn't make out what they were saying.
"Are you sure you're alright?"
Tilting my head up, I found Agito hovering above looking down at me with a concerned look. "Of course." The Unison Device...no, my partner had an unsure look as she floated down and took her place on my shoulder. "You know, you don't have to be here Agito."
"But I want to!" She practically shouted at me as she stood up with that determined look. "You're my partner! No matter where you go I'll be there by your side. You'll probably be needing my help anyway. Geez..."
Ah, Agito. Even though she tries to maintain that tough exterior of hers, it doesn't always hold. I smiled and patted her on the head which got a glare and a blush. She didn't have to be here with us. Especially with what we were about to do. I had expressed my wish for her to return to the ship but she had, rather vocally, refused. Though inside it made me happy that she would be by my side as we undertook this...mission.
"They're coming."
The three behind me stirred and moved to stand by my sides. Now this was definitely the scene out of an Earth film. All we needed now was a strong gust of wind for that extra effect. The moving mass in the distance drew my attention again. Ground and air units it seemed. If our previous encounter was any clue, this force numbered several thousand with several more groups in the rear as support.
It had all started only a few hours ago. We had been deployed to this world to investigate unusual high energy readings that a passing ship had detected. Achieved data showed this world was uninhabited by any intelligent life though it had been used by random smugglers and fleeing criminals now and then. Upon arriving at the surface, we were almost immediately attacked by an unknown party. We held our ground the best we could, but the stream of mages, mechanical constructs and what appeared to be enhanced biological creatures never seemed to stopped coming. Eventually we managed to bide enough time to teleport back to the ship, but it was then she collapsed. None of us had noticed it in the battle earlier. Then again, she had always been stubborn and very good at hiding her pain from us. The on board medics were quick and rushed Hayate to the Med Bay. It would be an hour before one emerged and informed us on her condition. Her left lung was punctured, she was impaled two other times at her left shoulder and right side, several broken bones which included her ribs, and a multitude of bruises. We were told that they did her best and she would most likely survive. They were keeping her in an artificial coma so her body could focus on healing.
It was hard on all of us. We were her Knights, her guardians. We were supposed to protect her from all harm, but we had failed. Vita seemed to have taken it the hardest, pleading with Shamal to use her magic to heal our Mistress. Even I had a hard time trying to remain at least some what composed. It was then we found out. After the sudden attack, the captain had ordered a full barrage of scans on the planet and nearby dimensional space. What they detected was frightening. Thousands of lifeforms underground with massive power readings, more than likely various pieces of machinery. They also detected several dozen large-scale ships under construction on the darkside of the planet as well as several completed vessels apparently being kept hidden in dimensional space. This wasn't just some small smuggling group...it was an army. A dimensional invasion army.
There was already evidence that they had already ravaged other worlds. How many, we couldn't be sure. A Priority 1 message was relayed back to TSAB HQ and an emergency meeting was called. For the mix of military officials and politicians, they came to an agreement fairly quickly. Several fleets, including Admiral Chrono Harlaown's, as well as Ground, Navy, and Enforcer units were being redirected to this world in hopes of neutralizing the threat before it got out of hand and any more worlds were lost. They even authorized the deployment of several warships equipped with the Arc-En-Ciel as well as giving their captains the authority to fire as deemed necessary. The first wave of ships gathered and were expected to arrive in about 3 hours. A second wave of ships was expected to arrive a hour after them with the bulk of the mage units from Mid Childa.
It was shortly after the first fleets had begun their journey that the ship's sensors picked up an increase in activity on the planet. Apparently our little scuffle roused their nest. Power levels increased and the movement of troops and machinery sped up. The ships in orbit also began to show signs of life. They knew that more forces were coming and it looked like they were either planning to make a stand or escape before our forces would arrive. Three hours would be more than enough time for them to get organize and prepare for a first-strike or evacuate off this world. We couldn't let that happen. As such, we found ourselves standing back on this world. We were more careful this time to teleport in a good distance away from their base of operations, but they had managed to detect our presence shortly after.
I glances to my left and my right. Shamal, Zafira, Vita, and Agito. Rein would have been here by our side, but I insisted that she remain at our Mistress' side. She was reluctant, but eventually agreed. I had a feeling she knew the true reason why we asked her to remain. The dark mass grew larger, making it possible to make out some of their forces. That also meant they were almost upon us. I gripped my Device tightly and took a breath.
"There is still time to turn back. You don't have to do this."
Vita, of course, was the first to rebuke. "What? And leave all the fun to you? Tich. You probably wouldn't even last 5 minutes without me!"
"I wouldn't let my comrades charge into battle alone," spoke up Zafira as he tightened his hand into a first. "I am a guardian beast! I'll make sure that none of them make it past us alive!"
"Zafira is right, Signum. None of us would think of letting you head out alone. We're your comrades, your friends. We're family." Shamal stated as she smiled softly.
"Ah." I looked again at those by my side. They all wore smug looks; looks of determination. But that was all a mask, just like my own. After being together for so long, after all we've been through we have a connection with each other. They were all scared...even I admit I was a bit myself. No one could blame them. The odds were not in our favor by a long shot. But we would give it our all. We were the Wolkenritter. They would feel our wrath.
"Laevateinn, let us show these fools our true might."
Jawohl!
I drew my sword from its scabbard and gazed over the enemy mass below.
"Laevateinn, load cartridge!"
Explosion!
The familiar sound of a compressed magic cartridge being discharged filled my ears. Before us stood the enemy. The ones that threaten the peace of dimensional space. They were the ones that hurt our mistress, Hayate Yagami.
The young girl that gave us life.
The young girl that opened her arms and her heart to complete strangers.
The young girl that showed us what it was to be a family.
The young woman who strove forward to accomplish her dreams.
The young woman who had a full future ahead of her.
The young woman who showed us love.
"Let's go, Wolkenritter!"
We jumped from the cliff towards the battle-hungry horde below. Our Devices were raised, ready to meet their weapons. Their cries or battle mixed with our own. No matter what, we would continue to fight. I swore on my honor to fight to protect our Mistress from all who threaten her. Only once have I tainted my honor. I dare not do it again. Keep our mistress safe, Reinforce Zwei.
I didn't really know what was wrong with her. Nanoha had been laying down when I got home and wasn't really in the mood to talk it seemed. Normally she layed on her back when resting, which lead me to believe that something was bothering her. One of our large pillows was hugged to her chest and her face was resting just above it.
Finally I gave in and sighed, sitting on the bed next to her and putting a hand through her hair. "What's wrong?" I asked softly, only getting a small hum in reply. "Tummy ache?" She shook her head lightly. "Headache?" She shook her head again and I thought a little. I don't think today was any special day for her. No birthday to forget, no anniversary to miss, no bad things that I can recall happened today... "What's wrong?" I finally asked her.
"Nothing," she lied quite plainly.
"Don't want to talk about it?" I offered one more chance and she stayed silent for a while. "Here, turn on your stomach."
"Hm?"
"Come on," I helped her roll over and slid my hands under her shirt to rub her back. "This may help."
"Thanks," Despite my trying to help, she seemed a little sadder than before.
Was I the problem maybe? I thought back to the last few days and couldn't recall anything that I had done wrong. Vivio was in school happily, Nanoha was teaching at the TSAB training grounds daily, I was an enforcer that was currently located at the local special police unit in town... We haven't argued, our money situation was good, Vivio's grades were top notch... What could have her down?
"Can I do anything for you?" I almost whispered to her, afraid that she might be holding back. Her body moved away from me and I was left there with my hands hovering in the air where she once was. Nanoha sat on the side of the bed, facing away, and hunched over. "I'm...sorry?"
My friend shook her head and moved her arm in front of her face. I knew that motion and it wasn't long before I heard a repressed sob. It only took a few seconds before she covered her face and stood to get away before I saw the tears. My hand caught her wrist as she walked by and I actually fell on my side when she kept going while I held on. Nanoha tugged her arm but my grip got tighter. She tried again and I clamped my hand down enough to know it wasn't comfortable to her.
Nanoha sat back down but shifted away when I went to put my arm around her. I knew I was the problem now, but I still didn't know why. "What... did I do?" I asked lamely. Again she shook her head, trying to cover her sniffing and watering eyes. "Nanoha you know I'm here for-"
"That's just it!" She exclaimed loudly, voice breaking and turning to look at me with tears flowing down her cheeks. "Can I not do anything without you!?"
I was shocked to say the least. My friend turned and looked down again, angrily trying to dry the tears that refused to stop. "What brought this on?" I spoke to her gently, keeping my distance for now.
"I just..." She wiped her nose on her shirt sleeve, something she would never do normally. "I don't know. I'm... I heard people at work today." She didn't say anything else, making me tentatively pry deeper. "They wern't being mean about it or anything," She continued for me. "They just said... I don't know, Fate-chan, just that everything I've done always had you next to me and that I probably couldn't have done anything alone."
I opened my mouth to say something but she went on, mouth fighting to keep from sobbing and tears running past her lips. "The reason Vivio's such a nice girl is because Fate-chan is such a good mother. The reason I live in this house is because Fate-chan gets it with her job. The reason I'm such a high rank teacher is because Hayate-chan is a child prodigy in leading... I just... am I so worthless that I can't have anyone say 'Nanoha worked so hard for it!?' "
I reached over to her and she finally allowed me to hug her. "Nanoha," I whispered into her ear, feeling her tears seep through my light shirt. "Don't think like that-"
"It's true," She protested as she went slack in my arms. "What have I done that I did completely by myself?"
I rubbed her back soothingly. "You saved my life."
"You were the one who took my hand."
"You offered it when no one else would." I countered, stroking her hair. "Why is Hayate able to be a leader?"
"She worked hard and-"
"Because you didn't give up even after I was gone and all hope was lost. Why did you fight so hard to walk again after you were hurt?"
"Because I wanted to fly again."
"Why?"
"Because I wanted to." She gripped my shirt harder.
"So you could protect people, so they wouldn't know what it was like?" She didn't answer me but I knew it was true. "Why are the people you train so good? Why did the crime rate around here drop after you started teaching officers? Why are people able to leave their bikes outside their house again?" She moved to say something but I pressed my forehead against hers, talking against my best friend's lips. "What you do isn't to promote yourself. Your actions reflect through others. Whenever someone gets complimented on their skill, whenever someone feels safe at home, when Hayate does good at her job, when I do good at mine... They are because you were there, in some way. You are always there, Nanoha. I effect myself. Hayate effects herself. Her staff reelect on their own actions. You effect everyone around you. You make people smile, make people learn, make people have confidence."
I moved back and kissed her forehead gently. "I am here for you. Vivio has the best mother, and she works hard to make you proud. How can you think for a moment that you can't do anything, when in reality it's others who need you to push them onward?"
"Fate-chan..." She was still crying but I could tell the difference in her tears. Nanoha embraced me again, this time hugging me as she cried gently on my neck. "thank you..."

Why do you all have to go and make great fics when I'm so tired >_<. Good work everyone and to to those commenting mine: Well, I've gotten different opinions to what it should be (nightmare or not) so we'll see what it will be.

Aww Nanoha.. listen to Fate. The show was named after you after all. I liked Fate's little speech..so true. ^^

... I am getting the urge to dive in and throttle those who said that.
I know Creation isn't completed yet, but it's gone too long without an update. You know enough for me to keep going with this. Enjoy!
Spoiler for Vampire!Fate pt.3a (Nanoha):
I looked at Fate with a mix between shock and sadness. Her story was so sad that I really didn't know what to say. Having gone through all that and yet she's still here, smiling and laughing and doing whatever she wants. "It's in the past," she told me lightly, a small ironic grin on her face now. "It's like something bad happening in your life and years later you get over it. Don't be sad over my past, because my future is what's important."
"I see," I still felt bad for her, though.
"Ask."
"Huh?" I blinked and looked at her again.
"You're holding back. Go ahead and ask me. Better to get the bulk out of the way now so I won't be annoyed for the next month by questions every day. Go ahead." She took my hand when I hesistated.
"Okay, um..." I flushed. "No one has ever... bitten me, right?"
"Right."
"Why?"
"You're marked." Fate reached forward and traced a design on my neck. "When a vampire is strong enough they can infuse a little of their power into a person. You have a mark on you that only those with enhanced senses can see. Any vampire worth his salt will know that if they bite you, I would kill them."
"Fate-chan!" I stopped. I knew she's killed before but hearing it...
"Yes," She asnwered, meeting my eyes. "I still kill. Vampires. I don't hurt for the sake of hurting. I don't kill for the sake of killing. I am old, I am desensatized to it. I will kill in the future, and I will kill paladins as they engage me. I promise you this, though, I will never do it unless it's required."
I would have to accept that. "I trust you." It felt odd but I knew... her hands were too soft to be a mass murderer like the past... "Okay," I took a breath. "How do you turn people? Into Vampires, I mean."
She grimaced. "It sucks. They have to drink enough of my blood to overwrite their own. Just as I drink human's blood to create my own special type, a human can drink mine to taint their own. It's not much at first, but as they go their body starts to require the vampire cells to survive. Since you can't make your own, you have to drink blood to get what you need to create it. Want specifics?"
"No thanks... So just... That's a lot of blood isn't it?"
"For a small child it's not, but for an adult... yes it's a lot. A vampire can either do it all at once, which is easier on the human, or over the span of about a week, which is easier on the vampire."
I pondered this. "Explain?"
"For example, if they drank enough to fill their stomach, the human would have enough to convert their body into what's needed to create the cells from normal blood, and their body would start doing it. Once their blood is completly converted, then they will need an outside source because they no longer have normal blood. The vampire would be out of commission for several days because their blood is so low. It's enough to kill them if they're not careful."
"And the other way?" I didn't want her to go through that...
"Drink a little at a time. The human would be in a lot of pain over the course of a week, as their body battles it out with the new substance, but the vampire has time to recover, to refill their own blood and drink others."
"And a vampire... I never recall you telling me you got sick?"
"A vampire doesn't get sick," Fate cut herself off and stared at me. She knew what I was thinking now...
"Can you..."
"No." She glared. "I will not."
I felt hurt. "But, Fate-chan, you said-"
"No."
"WHY!?" I demanded, shocked as my own voice rose. I was confused now... if she told me her story, and wanted me to accept her... If she could take away this pain!
"You don't fully understand...." I she softened and I felt myself being pulled into a hug. "Nanoha...I'm sorry."
I sighed into her arms, still confused. Maybe it was something I was missing... but still... The thought that I could be cured still lingered in my mind.
A.) Nanoha
B.)Fate
B for me, I'd like to see Fate mental struggle about Nanoha wanting to be a vampire to cure herself...
NOTE: To all new people who find my comic interesting, you can find the previus 3 chapters on pague 1, post 2 in the profile that Satashi made me
Enjoy!
Congratulations. You did it once again to bring a very awesome chapter.
I really liked the fighting scene between Nanoha and that... thing? Also, it was good seeing her being so protective of Fate. I don't exactly like Zaeta (page 30 seems like a good enough reason for me ), but those pills add a nice boost to curiosity in things regarding her. Nice work.

Very touching. It's very easy to believe that the Wolkenritter would really do something like that if such a situation arose.
Location: In the Netherrealm, thinking who to betray next...

Goodbye, Hayate Yagami.

“Mrs.
XD
hmm something seems missing from the fic... i would have liked to see more on Nanoha's lost, confused state over that year.. (so i can read more angst >.>) the 1 year shift seemed sudden, that's all. Aww Fate and Vivio..both dead.. *laughs and shoots self* poor Nanoha... *cough* sorry.. you can write ulcer inducing angst illy!! i've seen it!! bring it!!!! >.< ;-;
Forgive the not-so-greatness I don't do fics like this that often *shrugs* but practice makes perfect.
Spoiler for Something like angst:
She was gone.
Just like that. One day she had been sitting in right here on the same bed Fate now lay on, alone, and now she wasn’t.
Nanoha wasn’t dead. Nanoha was fine and happy, so was Vivio, and, Fate supposed, Yuuno was too. After all he had won. No he couldn’t win. After all it had never been a contest. Fate was just a friend after all but… it shouldn’t hurt too much if that was all Fate had felt.
Fate flipped over in the bed. It had never seemed so big when it was the three of them. Fate’s arm couldn’t stretch over the full mattress. She rested her hand on the empty space where Nanoha’s pillow had been until Nanoha took it with her. Fate needed to get a new bed, she should have already gotten one, back when Fate first learned the truth, but she couldn’t. It was still their bed to Fate, even if Nanoha’s bed was now his.
Fate wanted to hate him. She wanted to hate him more then anything else but she couldn’t. She couldn’t hate him when he looked at Nanoha the same way Fate did. Not when he loved Nanoha too or when he alone got those looks back in return. She couldn’t hate anyone Nanoha loved.
How long had Fate been lying there? She’d lost track of time. It could have been an hour, a day, a week, she couldn’t tell. It didn’t matter… nothing mattered. Maybe it’d be better if she just wasted away…
Yeah that’d be better…
There wasn’t… Fate’s eyes closed… any reason for her to stay… around… any… more. Fate stopped breathing. She readied herself to—
“You are getting up now!”
Her attempts were interrupted by light flooding into her formerly dark room.
Fate jerked up. She squinted as she tried to adjust to the sudden light. “Hayate?”
Hayate stood at the foot of the bed, hands on her hips in a clearly commanding pose. ‘Three days is long enough Fate.”
“Bye… Hayate,” Fate collapsed backwards on the bed.
“Fate? Fate. FATE!”
“Shesh Fate, getting sick like this,” Hayate sighed and soaked the towel in her hands before putting it on Fate’s head. “I know it hurts but…” She shook her head. “Don’t I- we mean anything to you?”
Fate didn’t answer. She couldn’t of course considering she was asleep. “Nanoha…” Fate muttered still soundly in her dreams
Hayate shook her head and leaned back in her chair. “Nanoha goes off and gets married and I still lose to her,” she chuckled bitterly but not without a touch of humor, “life just isn’t fair is it Fate?”
Hayate stood. Shamal would be there soon and she didn’t want to get in the doctor’s way. “Sleep well…” Hayate looked around before quickly bending over and gently kissing Fate’s forehead. It was normal for friends to kiss each other’s foreheads right? It didn’t matter; no one would ever know it happened anyway.
Hayate paused at the room’s doorway on her way out. “Nanoha isn’t the only person in the world you know.”
Fate sleepily opened an eye as Hayate disappeared. “I know… you’re right…”
Spoiler for Omake:
Fate: Wait... so the logic is Nanoha marries Yuuno so I get together with Hayate
Nanoha: 'kay sounds good
Yuuno: Yeah I like it
Hayate: :3 I won't get shafted if I'm dating a main character.
Fate: Am I the only one who sees the error
Nanoha: Yep
Yuuno: Seems like it
Hayate: Uh huh uh huh
Hayate: Oh hark an unconscious Fate I must tend to her
Fate: *uunconscious*
Hayate: :3 Oh she's so hot I must take off her shirt to keep her cooled off
Fate: ...
Hayate: Oh my it appears she's sweating under her bra well I must take that off too *reaches down*
Fate: WAIT A MINUTE! I thought you were taking care of me!
Hayate: SekuHara above all else
Fate: D:
In case you're curious...
Spoiler for Why I wrote it:
well for one thing this song
Made me want to write something angsty.
And I thought it was about time someone remind Fate that Nanoha isn't the world and there are other people there (angst!Fate seems to be ignored by her friends a lot).
Btw
If anyone wants a challenge I challenge you to pick a song and write a fic based off of it (you can interpret that however you want)
I have to say I love it. There is barely any HayatexFate so it was nice to see. Also the fact the Fate doesn't hate Yuuno is a plus.

"Herro, and welcome to the enrichment center."
Falling onto the floor from the table she was laying on, blond hair spilled around her as she tried to focus enough to stand. "Who... what.... ow, my head..." She thought back, remembering a hard battle and something hitting her from behind when she tried to sonic move away from an attack coming from the front.
"Herro, and welcome to the enrichment center."
Fate looked around, realizing that she was in a small room with glass walls. One of said walls slowly hissed and slid away to allow her a place to exit as the voice speaking came again. "Hello, your specimen has been processed, and we are now ready to begin the test proper."
With no other option, Fate stumbled forward and looked around. The walls were metal, floor clean and crisp. "Looks like a lab of some sort..." Turning her eyes to look at a strange logo on the wall, she read the words aloud: "Aperature science..."
The voice came again, making Fate look around several times until she saw a white video camera on the upper corner of the wall and a speaker under it. "Please proceed through the enrichment center's testing facilities and cake will be served at the end."
Fate frowned, eyes scanning the area for any type of weapon she could use to defend herself. Bardiche wasn't with her and she knew it was only a matter of time before she had to make a break for it. slowly she walked forward, eying the cameras following her as she walked.
A second room revealed a glass encased object sitting on a podium. Storming toward it, Fate reared back her arm and slamming her elbow onto the glass. Shards flew thick but she still retrieved the strange white and black gun type device it held.
Quickly observing it, she turned her eyes to the door across from her and gripped the handle of her new weapon hard. A small whine came as it charged, infused and powered by her electric abilities.
"The device has been modified." The female robotic voice spoke again as Fate raised her gun to fire a hazzing portal onto the wall. "Please proceed into android hell!"
Fate dashed forward.
That is a really weird song, but very catchy. I have a feeling it will be stuck in my head. >.< A pretty weird/cool/amusing story though. I'm curious to how she got there...

"Just one?" Nanoha asked again as she bent over the couch of Satashi's apartment.
The purple haired kitsune sighed. "How did you even find out about this sleep-over?"
"Nya haha, you're my favorite author and Angel is my favourite artist sooooo. Please just one pic?"
Angel looked over at the two. "Right now? But we're hardly dressed!"
"It's okay!"
Satashi sighed out and finally nodded. "Okay, okay, just one picture." She moved over to where Angel was sitting and straddled her lap. Turning to look at Nanoha, she gave a small smile and blushed when Angel grabbed her butt for the pose. In one hand the purple haired one loosely grasped a calligraphy pen while Angel held her drawing tablet. A small flash came and Raising confirmed the picture was taken.
The girl with the halo groaned as Nanoha saved teh image to her device. "Figures it's the day I'm wearing pink..."
Nanoha smiled and looked at the image on her screen:
That needed a head explosion warning. That was...hot.
My story lasted for most of the morning and Nanoha only had one more class left on this particular day so she decided to just ask one of her friends for their recording of it to listen to later. She took to the store downstairs after a while and I watched her walk around with a dazed expression before I offered to buy her and Caro lunch. My trip lead me back to my apartment first to pick up Erio and then I swung by Zaxby's to get some chicken for everyone. Chicken is always happiness in my book.
As I drove, my mind wandered back to talking to Nanoha earlier. I can't believe that she wanted to be turned into a vampire after hearing everything. Well, I could kind of get where she was coming from... Being turned could, actually, cure her... And Judging from the countless bottles of pills in her cabinet and how coughing blood wasn't anything new to her...
"Fate?"Erio asked me curiously. "We going somewhere else?"
"Huh?" I blinked, realizing that I missed my turn. "Ah, no, sorry. Spaced out." I made the next right and flipped the block to park beside Nanoha's house. The girl really needed parking spaces...
As we walked back, I was shocked to find the store fairly packed. Granted, she seemed to always sell out but I guess with Caro pulling people in and having two people working there, buisness would pick up. Good, now I didn't have to worry about her starving.
"Here, I'll take over." I gave Nanoha the bags and shooed her back into her kichen when she tried to protest. Erio took over for Caro without me even telling him to be a gentleman and offer, which made me proud. I guess Chrono was raising him well afterall.
I kept a smile and rang people up as quickly and politely as I could, using it to try and distract myself from the lingering thought in hte back of my head:
If I did turn Nanoha, we would be together for a long, long time.
I closed my eyes and gripped the counter tightly, trying to force the thought from me mind. No. I can't do that. I can't make her go through that, she's too nice, too kind... She wouldn't be able to hunt, and the pain involved would be too much for her to take...
I felt a hand on my back and turned to see Nanoha smilin up at me. "Go eat, before it gets cold," She told me gently. Her hands moved to mine and gave it a small squeeze. Whatever she thought about while eating had obviously calmed her down and made her spirits lift.
"Okay." I looked around the shop to make sure it was okay before moving to kiss her, but found her taking a step back.
"parent's friends," She whispered, a little scared. "I... "
"Okay," I smirked, feeling playful again. "I'll kiss you later."
"Okay," She retorted on the spot, making me shocked a little. Her lef slid between mine slightly, hidden from view by the counter. "But, I'll be on top."
I felt my knees shake, amazed at how much this single human effected me. I had forgotten she was the dominating type.
