In Japanese? It's 3 chapters in (manga chapters, that is, not that it's done with 3 chapters of the novel). In English? 20 chapters to go.

Doing the estimates in my head, because they get a little less specific later on in the series. And I haven't read them in something like 2 or 3 years, so... I'm a tad fuzzy.

Also, the series started in 1998, not 1997. (The Whispereds were born 1981, they turn 17 the same year the series started out in. Understandable mistake though, since they don't have their bday until the very end of the year, so you really want to count them as being 16 that year ^^)

June/July - Tsudou Make My Day

October - Semaru Nick of Time

2000
January~March - Zutto Stand By Me

The only thing I'm pretty sure on is that it ended in March, since that's usually when graduation is, if memory serves me. The rest are estimates, but I can say they're close enough guesses to fly, just might be off a month or so on any of 'em.

I always thought it happened in early 1993, as Mardukas found out about the death of Carl Testarossa and his wife and the disappearance of their kids in early 1993.

And there's also dates like:

1983 - the news of "Alaskian wonder-child" and first AS development projects.

1985 - Soviet submarine K-244 and Kalinin as part of the crew find Sosuke (about 4 years old) in a crashed plane in the middle of the ocean

1989 - Kalinin finds out that Sosuke is being trained as part of the "Knife" special unit for child soldiers.

1991 - nuclear conflict in the Middle East and the prevention of the fall of the USSR. Soviet Army returns to Afghanistan.

1992 - Kalinin meets Sosuke and betrays USSR by joining the rebels.

1993 - Mardukas is nearly discharged from the Royal Navy and finds out about the death of his friend Carl Testarossa. Later he is offered to join Mithril.

1996 - Sosuke is a mercenary in Birma.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

If I remember correctly for 1991 it's because the nuclear bomb used during the Gulf War was protected by ECS given to Amalgam by Leonard after he has been kidnapped.

I have done this time-line some times ago (probably late 2007 or early 2008), when some of the info (like : Birth of the TDD) weren't translated so it's possible that some mistake are present.

At first that would work because your browser will take the image in your cache instead of trying to retrieve from the host so it's always better to use an image host

I am disappointed that Kurtz isn't with Mao. But the million dollar question is...

I'm looking forward to reading the new short story novel. It'll have that 300 Bonta-Kun story, but it also has a couple other stories that were run in the magazine but never in a novel. Can't wait to read them~~ One of them involves an Airsoft club at Jindai, that Sousuke apparently has some ridiculous joining requirements XDDD I can't wait to read that one, bwahahahah.

The eventual history still comes: Soviet Union disintergrates, ending the Cold War. 3. Onodera Kotaro is married and it seems he's going to become a teacher. Three guesses who's the girl. 4. Remember the Wraith-like female pages before? She's MAO, running the PMC (Can somebody tell me that if that's D.O.M.S.? I've lost for a while) Adelina's belongs to. BTW Adelina's real name is Aleksandrovna Kerenskaya, who think of names this long should be damned...... 5. If you saw a gun-wielding gothic loli from pics before, her name? Clara MAO. A genius markswoman, at the age of TEN. Jeez. Also introducing Douglas Baxter (Leader of 3rd AS teaching platoon) and Bernard Bertrand (Tactical Analysis unit). 6. Tatsuya Ichinose (with a two-year-younger sister Yukari) uses the summer's moth for studying (things about AS? Not firmed yet) and will return to school later. 7. D.O.M.S. is actually an organization teaching civilians military knowledges, especially using AS against Aggressors (training enemies). Actual fighting are out of their main jobs though. 8. Just to spoil you ab bit about Kurz and Mao...... Spoiler: The married and divorced FOR THREE TIMES. I don't fucking know what to say about them. Now Kurz is wandering around the world so he doesn't appear in Another at all. But Clara speaks like her dad...... Spoiler for the short: The new book basically consists of old stories posted before------except one: Tessa visiting a graveyard. 1. Mao becomes VERY RICH somehow: Got a real big MANSION in front of NY Central Park. And now she's living with Tessa; one day she starts to vomit like a pregeant mother, and she told Tessa if the baby's a girl she'll name her "Clara". 2. A single Alastor was rebult by Miller/Mira from spare parts captured from combat, and is now remotelly controlled by AL. Still, we all know that he's not content with this new body since he want a Trans-Am for GPX Cyber Formula......(no, really) First reactions when installing normal AI is quite funny to watch though. 3. This time Tessa is visiting Bernie's hometown trying to find his last relatives, and since Mao is pregeant she has to go with AL together. Kurz? Running business out there. But there's another point: he went to Israel and try to take his first love (parlyzed and can only travel on wheelchair......Don't tell me she's Rana a.k.a. the-one-who-was-shot-by-Casper) back to NY. Mao is not amused. 4. The grave belongs to Bernie, and during their journey Tessa revealed some details between their first romance. Awww. 5. At Bernie's hometown they met a boy named Roney(my crappy translation, and BTW his name really doesn't pronouce as "Rooney")------who doesn't have anything to do with Bernie, yet Tessa felt some of his personalities on him. (From the pic given, he's probably not older than Tessa, possibly a few years younger instead) Eventually she decides to take him back to NY living together. In short: Kurz + Mao + Tessa + Roney + Clara=trouble in NY. Heh. Picture later if someone doesn't get them first. __________________ Obviously ,hope is the first step to the road of disappointment. Also, it could be that after all what has happened in the series, she got a massive (final) paycheck from MITHRIL (combat pay and all that stuff). But then, maybe Tessa also paid part of the costs.
