Ya. Seeing the current gap between Rito and Momo after the scene when they're walking home... well... yea. That's making ME feel heartbroken. If it weren't for the very last 10 seconds at the very very end. I woulda been pissed.

I felt a bit underwhelmed by the last episode. The story about Momo's fanclub was okay-ish, but not all that great overall. It wouldn't have been that bad somewhere in between, but as the final episode, it didn't fit at all.
Overall, I think it wasn't a good idea to waste an entire episode on this. If they didn't want to have the story about Mea and her master just a bit further, they should've done an ecchi-feast like they did in the epic episode 12 of Motto To Love-Ru Picking some only passable side-story, especially for the last episode, was a bad choice there. I really hope we'll get a second season of To Love-Ru Darkness as soon as possible, Motto To Love-Ru Darkness, a more aptly named To Love-Ru Pinkness (Momo) or whatever they'll name it

I think it's not really intended as any real sort of "ending", just "we're stopping here for now". I'd be shocked if we didn't see a continuation in both OADs and likely a second season at some point. Motto had the advantage of writing an ending to correspond to the end of the first manga series, so it had a more "ending" feel, but I think here they just wanted to leave the door wide open. To end it on a "side-story" sort of emphasizes that point.

Not yet; the 7th manga volume hasn't been solicited yet (and they pushed the last two out really close to each other to capitalize on the anime). There is an event happening on 17 March, so perhaps something will be announced there.

In contrary, it fits... as after the end of the whole thing -- the episode makes ya want MOAR! But throughout the episode, seeing Momo's pain is clear. And oh man, the poor girl.

Well it was a good conclusion regardless. The stuck to the manga through and through even the ending wasn't that far off from the manga and I definitely like is better than previous TLR series' so a 10/10 on my list and definitely still my favorite anime series.
