From finishing the game twice - I got the Daisuki and the Eien because they were next to each other gamewise. I insist on having Sekai come with me to lunch. I clearly sit much closer to Sekai. I don't eat the food she offered. I say flat out we aren't going all that well ... etc, and she becomes more active. That tells me a lot about what is really happening.

Sekai's sex scenes with Makoto is one of the few sex scenes I've watched from beginning to end (I mostly SKIP the sex scenes when I play H-games because they are too contrived and honestly too long - if I'm interested I'd go catch them in the Omake section later) because it was so sweet and innocent (IMO). For some reason, Kotonoha's sex scenes gave me the feeling of a prostitute (so I ran through them at Max Time Compression).

In other words, Kotonoha literally prostitutes herself, and I get the feeling even with the best ending, their love won't last because it is powered primarily by Sex with few other harmonics (you see in the game's Ep2 how few interests they really have in common).

Maybe I'm wrong, though - I've still got 18 or so endings to go.

Of course, we can't fully blame Makoto. In some scenarios, Kotonoha is at as much to blame (can you see I already don't like Kotonoha very much?)

In a lot of paths, Kotonoha's personality goes 180 degrees. (Like you said, desperate).

Middle/End-Seducing him. I mean, there was a moment where she was pleasuring Makoto on the train! Egad, that was something! And she was responsible for "Futari no Koibito" (which left a bad taste in my mouth).

I've got most endings except 2 or 3. Not up to working on it.

Did School Days have an Omake? (My menu says start, load, replay, and exit). Replay allows you to see the loaded data from the beginning.
Summer Days had an Omake for seeing the scenes though.

kotonoha's personality is heading for a trainwreck in the game...and his descriptions of her doing stuff that would be vastly out of character from the anime is making me fear the worse...heres hoping that she doesnt go down the dark path O.O

I mean... It's basically the typical love story between teenagers. Nothing original, nothing supernatural, nothing really exciting. What could make this anime good are bloodbaths, chainsaw massacres, bloodbaths, stabbing, bloodbaths, and... bloodbaths !

Yeah. Check the Wiki. It is based on that Senketsu no Ketsumatsu (The End with Fresh Blood) ending where Kotonoha goes after Sekai with a saw. Basically, Sekai is armed with a pair of kitchen knives and given a chance to save herself. Sounds cute in the perverse way that makes this game so beloved.

Makes me wonder whether you should go watch a horror movie instead This isn't some horror show aiming to make you lose your dinner over the story. This is "a typical love story" that happens to be more than most of these stories, but i don't see what is wrong with a "typical romance show" in the first place. Much like i can't see how simply adding chainsaws, knifes and bloodbaths makes something good by default. And no, it isn't "more interesting" - it is simply different, and depending on ones tastes anything can be found good/boring.

I fully expect these changes in her character to happen. She indeed goes from the shy and fluffy girl to a somewhat ...em ... slutty and a bit mean(as much as i hate to say it) one. But you have to understand that she is basically desperate to keep Makoto not be alone. She has no friends at school (instead she gets bullied for some utterly retarded reasons) and as mentioned in the anime - she is quite sheltered, so dealing with people is not exactly her thing ... thus she basically tries to seduce Makoto. But hey - you can blame all of this on Makoto for making the poor girl go so far

I prefer Katsura over Sekai (in fact i rather dislike Sekai), but i have to agree that Sekai is more suited for Makoto ... being the complete blockhead that he is, he isn't suited for a girl like Katsura. Sekai is far more outgoing and better at dealing with people in general, Makoto included.

In all honesty i have never liked Sekai that much, and i still find that to be the case. Makoto's and Katsura relationship would have come to an end by the end of ep2, but she just had to open her big trap and start "enlightening" Katsura, all the while having feelings for Makoto herself. They have broken up and , obviously, don't click together ... what are you waiting for?

How about "mixed feelings", which kind of occur when your altruism causes you to give up what you love. I liked Sekai because of this altruism. It simply wouldn't have been as touching had Sekai not loved Makoto so much.

If Kotonoha doesn't date Itou, I doubt she can find anyone else. You'd think with her looks at least one guy from her own class would have came up by now. Nope. This tells me something.

What does Kotonoha in for me is not her sluttiness (which can cause the flame of "Love" to burn, but only for a short period until Makoto gets sick of cheap sex), but her utter lack of gratitude to Sekai.

I can understand cheap desperation. I can't understand a desire to destroy the girl who gave you what you had. So what if you were "having a relationship" at the time when Makoto and Sekai had declared their mutual love and then had First Sex! You and Makoto weren't in it very deep - most of the progress was Sekai pushing you guys together.

Therefore, Sekai owes you (Kotonoha) nothing while You owe Sekai everything. Therefore, if Sekai comes up to you flat and says "I've changed my mind. I want Makoto. Hand him over", you should comply like the Biblical Abraham and hand Makoto over like Issac.

It is to the point that I personally like to imagine there's an unfilmed last section to Daisuki, and it looks exactly like the ending of Eien ni except that Makoto and Sekai stay together instead of being destroyed mentally (so what's the point of showing it).

Given that everything up till the end is almost the same from Kotonoha's point of view, and the reunited couple's logical next step is to go home (like in Eien ni), it is logical they'd have the same confrontation with Kotonoha, with the same results. The only thing that is different is Makoto's commitment to Sekai (the bar on top of the screen proves it ) , and that would be factor deciding that they did not break apart. Good riddance, Kotonoha - your last cheap, spiteful revenge failed ...

That's also why I suspect my sympathies will be with Sekai when I finally see the ending where Sekai kills Makoto. It is not so much that Makoto decided to stay with Kotonoha - Sekai almost expects this. It is what an ungrateful SOB Makoto is in that scene that snaps both Sekai and me.

What you are saying is that Kotonah should just give up on her only chance at love just cause Sekai helped her get there? Have you heard of the saying that alls fair in love and war, which means just because Sekai helped Kotonah doesn't mean she has any obligation to just "hand makoto over like the Biblical Abraham and hand Makoto over like Issac."

You are expecting that a person who is in love to think logically and just give up the person they like just cause they got him through the other person...

The fact is Sekai didn't have any obligation to help and if she does lend her hand, it should be without any strings attached.. If she did decide to change her mind and get makoto, it would make her previous altruism a big lie.

Basically, when makoto found Kotonoha and Taisuke in their "foreplay", Kotonoha many times asked him to stop, but he didn't at all. Though Kotonoha wasn't really that struggling against him, it is fairly obvious to say that Kotonoha wasn't concent, thus, considered as a rape.

this scene is rather sick, especially the outcome...

By the way i doubt they will make a anime original ending. Most animes have anime original endings because they are usually based off a manga and the manga has yet to finish.

i really dunno. i'm currently playing it, but i'm extremely... well, it is hard to not being completely disturbed/sick/repeating *face palms* or cringing comments all over. fortunately, there ARE sweets moments, but various screwings ups which are really hard to apply on an anime.

As far as i could go, the anime is already different : ironically enough, in ep2 to me, makoto looked much more an ass in the anime than in its game counterpart (while it was the opposite in ep1).
We need the ep3 and maybe the 4 to understand how it will go.

but the game is so random (read : almost completely unpredictable) that it is really hard to elaborate 'which end will be used", especially if the studio want to give a fair story for bpth sekai and kotonoha (since their "screentime" are rather completely unabalanced, dependin on the choices)
