Bah, not much Mochizou this episode. Well at least blonde girl now feels his pain lol.
But at least Dera keeps the show interesting. He should be the star of his own harem anime, with the way he is acting. Teach the typical harem protagonist a lesson or two.

Props to his seiyuu. I hope we can see in future episodes more on the love triangle (even if Tamako is oblivious to all this).

Just started this series, but the OP is stunning. It is probably one of my all time favourite OPs.
The series, so far, is enjoyable to watch and one of my favourite things in the show are the visits to the music cafe, which seems to occur in each episode. |

Would anyone find it weird if I said that this latest episode felt a lot like Hyouka?
I'd say that this episode had a touch of good directing that made it such a nice, introspective watch. The mellow background music, the long silences, and the still shots really helped build the atmosphere of that cafe scene between Tamako and Shiori. I almost wish that this show had a more interesting cast to take full advantage of scenes like this. I was asking myself whether I'd drop this show before I started watching this episode, but I guess I'll stick around for a bit longer.

My take on Dera is that they want to have a narrator who is an outsider but will not disturb the established relationship in the shopping district. If he were a human, guys or girls, they won't be able to do that. After all, one of the reasons why half of the written stories began with someone moving in (the other half is said to be about someone going out, I think) was because it changes the status quo. They probably don't want that here. Well, to an extend. Because I think Dera will eventually set something in motion. For now, I'm satisfy with how he play his role and just seeing how this community interacts. Quote:
