I said when five first appeared that he was the equivalent to spider mans venom. Being strongest faster and more brutal than the hero in every wayand most like going to scare the piss out of the hero once they fight but holy shit is five op.
The detective is most likely going to try and off Reikos child. A family for a family.

The notebook that the private investigator left behind probably has a lot of useful information for the detectives against the Parasyte. I'm wondering if he wrote about Shinichi and Migi in it. Hopefully, if he did, the detectives will see the value of recruiting Shinichi and Migi to help. Otherwise, Shinichi will have to be on the run for the rest of his life.
Murano is moving closer and closer to finding out. I actually expected her to find out long before now, but I'm wondering what purpose it will serve for her to find out later. I'm still wondering why Migi is still on Shinichi's side when it saw how overpowered Gotou is. Gotou is able to coordinate with 4 other parasytes and control them completely well together. I guess that one thing in Shinichi's favor is that Migi has independent thought. If it goes with Gotou, it will have lost its free will and be controlled by another. On the other hand, if Migi's top priority is survival, then being part of another parasyte is to its advantage. Also, taking into account that Miki can be an arm or a head, Migi can also interpret that Migi can also try to become a head as well. I'm wondering if this will play out later on. It might not have to if the government sides with Shinichi. At that point, Miki will side with Shinichi since it provides a better chance of survival.

That was horrifying. Gotou is a truly threatening enemy.
But man, it has been a WHILE since I have watched an anime this good. I think the last recent anime I watched where I YEARNED for the next episode was Steins;Gate. |

Feel really bad for the PI here. Sadly he was already in far too deep in this mess to just walk away from it seems.

Even at its most predictable, Parasyte still manages to thrill and give me the old adrenaline rush from start to the end.
The funniest moment of the month goes to Reiko who was running around with a sawed off head laughing maniacally freaking out bystanders. There aren't many shows where creepy and hilarity walk hand in hand. The detective finally meets his tragic end but not before he elicited an emotional response from Reiko that came as a surprise even to her. I like the little effect you see in the parasyte's eyes that signifies that they underwent some fundamental change. The only thing can't figure out is why Reiko called Shinichi to the park as well. At first I thought she called him as a backup of sorts for retrieving her child but that doesn't seem to be the case. I wonder if she's calling for a ceasefire. Maybe she thinks the rest of her kind will turn against her so she's siding with the only guy who might help her. In return, she'll sell out her kin by revealing their weaknesses. Now THAT would be a very interesting partnership. If there's anything I didn't like about the episode it's how the show is shoving Murano (as usual) into the quagmire to up the stakes. Murano always gets pulled into these situations by a string of improbable coincidences. |

Yeah, it's kinda weird that Murano was able to make out Shinichi in that bus. However I don't think it matters however she get involved as I think it was part of Tamura's intention to involve her anyway.

When the ED came on screen, I couldn't believe twenty minutes had already passed by. I thought for sure I was only halfway through the episode. The preview misled me, the scene I'm waiting for will be in next week's episode. One more week to wait, this is excruciating.

Another great episode, the way Ryoko outsmarted the other three parasites was really well did portraying the differences in power and intellect between parasites. Ryoko is indeed and as expected a very dangerous parasite. And her changing are making her more and more interesting. I'd like to see her siding or asking for a partnership with Shinichi too.
For some reasons I'd expect her to give his child to him, but it wouldn't make any sense, so I do wonder why she called him there. I also agree that if there's a weak part is Murano. I understand more or less her (future) role but still it seems like unfitting with what's going on. Still I'm sure the show won't disappoint me with it.

If that guy thought that human beings can't kill babies he's a worse detective than he looks. People can commit plenty of horrifying atrocities.
I do wonder what Reiko is plotting by having Shinichi come out there. If she's hoping he'll be there to do more than cut her in half she might be having lofty expectations. The more insight she has on his life the more dangerous she is. A completely different kind of insanely dangerous parasite in comparison to Gotou. Both dangerous though. She just outclassed that group that came to kill her. They were just plain stupid. Especially the female one. Just stand there like a moron while this guy who is clearly out of control approaches you. I didn't feel bad about any of them dying since they were all pretty dumb in different ways.

I'm beginning to wonder if Ryoko wants to become a part of Shinichi as well, like be his left hand. That would upgrade his battle strength tremendously, both physically and strategically. However, I doubt that will happen, since Migi and Shinichi are the main characters of the show.
I expect Ryoko to at least give up the baby to Shinichi because she expects to be in a dangerous situation soon. Murano will probably find out about Shinichi the next episode. The private investigator did not identify Shinichi as his "partner". I don't know if that will bode well for Shinichi or not, since the police might mistaken Shinichi as an enemy. It seems like they really wanted to be allies with Shinichi, though, when they kept insisting on the private investigator to identify him. This is just an intense and great episode. I'm going to have to sit down and find time to watch all these episodes again.
