Thankfully it was an easy A, too. Took a little bit of planning, but basically just had Selvaria run around the map counter-clockwise and take a bunch of bases. That beam is so nice to watch when I'm not on the receiving end.
That's part of the DDL pack for Selvaria? Just Finished Maiden's Shield.
Spoiler for Welkin:

Yeah, that's the final mission of the DLC for Selvaria.

And no, you don't ever get to control Alicia as a Valkyria, though that is her final potential that will activate if her health falls below 50%.

Alicia is broken as she is. If you could use her as a Valkyria, then there would be less reason to use anyone else.

Which is why it was a nice treat to use Valkyria mode Selvaria in the DLC.

Perhaps the sequel will allow more Valkyria useage given that the whip-lance (that still makes no bloody sense...) Valkyria tags along with the main characters.

I still prefer using Aika at times. She has the same Resist Crossfire and Double Movement Class Potentials as Alicia but she also get's Runner's High that improves her defence.

It's just Alicia's two final personal potentials that make her so invincible.

Her healing potential with Awaken Potential on her seems to activate 99% of the time. So yeah. Pretty much the only time Alicia is guaranteed to die without being at full health at the end of a turn is on Expert Skirmish.

I generally am using two scouts. Guess who's the other one

It helps that I played and loved Skies of Arcadia. I also use Vyse... generally in tandem with Aika if she needs shock support.

It was because of VC that I tracked down Skies of Arcadia and I bloody loved it. I never really liked RPG games like it before but I'm willing to give other games like it a go.

Skies is a bit of an odd duck. It came out in the time when RPGs were all going bishounen, Darker and Edgier and, for lack of a better term, Final Fantasy VIIesque. Skies was a reconstruction of all the old 'Let's have an adventure!' RPG tropes, and for this it was wondrous. I'll... I'll try to think of other games that give me the same feel and PM you the results

I would sure love to see game players put a few pictures of them in action if possible.

If I knew how to screenshot from my PS3, I'd totally do that. See if I couldn't figure out some fun things to take pictures of.

I think it's once you start a new game+ 2 more tabs become available with Statistics being one of them.

You be correct. Along with a new music tab, and so on.

Grandia.

The first one, and not the second... or the rest that comes after. The first Grandia perfectly fits that description, with a coming of age protagonist hungry for adventure. (Just look past the weird hat and the shorts...) The theme music pretty much sums it up as well.

Unfortunately, the atrocious English dubbing mars this otherwise charming game.

Eh, I didn't think Grandia's dubbing was that bad. I mean, most anime dubs are far far far ^ 1000 worse.

And yes, the battle system was awesome, and the plot fairly engaging.

I dunno, I always thought that in most cut-scenes that involved the Imperials, they always had WAY too many Lancers, not enough foot-soldiers.
