His company has animated all the Getter Robo series, thus he is indirectly involved in Getter Robo. He had some involvement in the first Getter Robo manga as well. It was minimal but crucial. Even if you think that his involvement was not enough in Getter Robo to call him as one of the original creators, there's the fact that he's always credited in it which means that a Getter Robo crossover is well possible. Because after all, we have seen Groizer X in Shin Mazinger, despite the manga being by Gosaku Ota based only on a scenario by Go Nagai.

Status on Mazin Blog.
8/14/2009 @ 2:19 AM well, the TL and timing is done; editing is mostly done. QC is ongoing as I type this; hopefully a release later today. But that's just a prediction. No guarantee or anything, but that means that it will soon be out. |

A soccer match is an important episode in old school mecha, its like the spa episode.
Old school mecha characters must excel in some kind of sports, most commonly soccer or baseball. Their sports and athletic ability must then be shown in a match. At the end of the soccer episode they may increase in teamwork or realise some other value. The only recent mecha anime with a sports episode was Eureka 7, with that soccer episode. Soccer episodes are so important that in SRWZ, your guys had to play soccer before fighting the final boss. Forming 4 teams made of characters of different mecha series, they demonstrated how much they've understood each other and how great their teamwork from their friendship has become. Their morale then carried over to aid them in beating the final boss.

For the record I think the second opening song edges out the first one. Just more heroic and hot blooded. I especially like the part after the grandiose chanting where the title logo comes up. Also any song that uses a bell (Daybreak's Bell Gundam 00 for example) is automatically on my list of songs I want to listen to more than once.

so did anyone undestand anything? Is Kenzo alive?because Pygman said that the last scene wasn't an illusion..And Tetsuya also..is he alive or just represents the guilts Tsubasa might feel for his death??...So Kenzo built Energer Z and then his father built Mazinger Z or they were both involved in both projects?I mean this episode left some serious cliffhangers...Stiil to find out how Tsubasa was involved in Kenzo's death..

They're obviously cliffhangers, and hopefully will be answered in the second part. If not, then towards the end of the series. That cliffhanger at the end of episode 19 is quite possibly the best i've ever seen.

If Tsubasa's goons are still alive, that means they just went to a parallel time and are still alive, but if not in the end of the series they're not we can conclude that the first Finale Episode is a summary of things to come to in this series.
Kenzo's alive because in every Mazinger series he's changed to a cyborg.

Also I remember in the old Great Mazinger anime series where Tetsuya was temporary paralyzed Kenzo piloted Great Mazinger, but he wasn't as good as Tetsuya.
I loled back then where Kenzo released the Mazinger blade and MISSED catching it. Well a maker of the robot is truly different from the pilot I say. But here Kenzo is is UPGRADED with so much hotbloodedness he'll fight own son and wife! XD
