I don't think they animator's forgot. They didn't have people nude in the cells because of broadcast standards, and that they couldn't use the same tricks the manga used to provide appropriate coverage during the longer scenes. Now that they have only a fleeting scene to deal with, they're specifically opting to keep it the way the manga had it. The inconsistency can easily be hand-waved as it being an effect of Face dispelling the magic or something like that if they need a reason.

But since there's no magic... the Armor couldn't transfer back onto her. So... she ends up naked. LOL @ Lucy's expression tho, makes me want to see too... And the Dragons are back. Dragonslayers gonna finally meet with their "parents" after all these years. |

This episode it felt like it dragged, first half was just the usual action to stop Face again.
The OST used was nice though so I guess that added some excitement. So Zeref did bring himself to the battlefield this episode. Found it almost amusing at how calm his voice sounded... Natsu's confrontation with him felt intimidating but didn't really expect anything big to break out. Cute Natsu with his flashback though... Also, GG Mard Geer. About time. I couldn't stand that guy tbh.

The loss of Igneel was pretty good. I think the flashbacks were solid and some definitely "holy crap" when you see the insane damage he sustained. Although I will say the first half of the episode was really week and kind of took away from how the episode ended. We already saw the dragons smashing up stuff last week, this was just dragging that out. If you want to pad things....pad the Igneel side of it so it can have as much impact as Aquarius being sacrificed did.
Well not like Lucy permanently got anything cool either after the loss of Aquarius. Just a temporary shield and enough magic to use her big spell. More than Natsu has at the moment, but that could come next episode. Certainly nothing to the level of Gray getting demon slayer powers.

This just in: Fairy Tail Zero is getting a broadcast dub. Funimation will be releasing English-dubbed episodes just a few weeks after they air in Japan.

Well that was an arc that finished with some emotional stuff.
Idk how I feel about it afterwards. I think the manga captured the magic of it better but the anime did have some memorable fights so. Tbh, I like most of the fights in the first half better than some of the latter half. This doesn't really set up for Fairy Tail Zero but it looks like it'll be a direct continuation (World Trigger treatment). Anyways, it was an alright arc, didn't exceed my expectations but did hit some of my points. That Gray scene though....I think the music did a good job capturing the expressions of both him and Juvia. And that END scene (no pun intended) at the end gave me the chills.

Was really sad that Natsu lost Igneel just as he got him back.
Still, it was a one time deal anyway.. Lots of tears this time. Guess it's OK since they were saying their goodbyes. Juvia confessed to killing Gray's father!! His reaction was not what I expected.. Well... this arc got wrapped up nicely.
