It was on some scan about gears of Destiny. They were using the movie barrier jackets, so I assume that meant they were from the movie.

Maybe those are supposed to be alternate outfits or something, like many fighting games employ. Would explain why they're using A's devices.

The movie outfits are indeed just alternate DLC costumes. I do find it odd that the devices haven't changed. Fate's barrier jacket looks exactly the same as well.

I originally thought that perhaps they just didn't want to show off the 2nd movie designs for RH and Bardiche yet, but then realized they'd be redesigning their barrier jackets again to go with it, meaning that these models would still be incorrect. So yeah, makes sense for them to be DLC alternate skins.

That said, the only noticeable difference in Fate's model are her thighhighs; her pose in the image makes it impossible to discern whether or not the rest of the changes (removed tabard, repositioned skirt, split cape) were made.

Hasn't changed to what? That is her movie BJ, same for Nanoha.

Her belt is red in the series, it is brown in the movie(and in the image). And I can see the split of her cape rather clearly. Just look at the upside down V shape it has.

I'll clarify: I know that Fate is in her movie barrier jacket, however it looks exactly the same as her TV barrier jacket to me.

I didn't even know that Fate's movie barrier jacket is different from the tv show's until I actually try to compare them. It isn't as noticeable as Nanoha's.

Yeah, the only difference between the two: Movie version has the tabard at the front removed, the skirt shifted so it opens around the right leg, a slight redesign around the top of the stockings, the waist belt colored brown instead of red, and a split in the cape. That's all...

It's like they couldn't do more without being forced to make it conservative in design.

The belt and the cape should have been the only things hard to miss. Cape is completely redesigned, and the belt is a whole different color. But there are several tiny changes. Even her boots are different in the movie, compared to the series.
