Sorry, I'm unable to give one now because I need to spread around some cookies to other people first.

How do you translate the Evangelion reference in 3:15?

I'm not sure what you're asking for. I don't see an Evangelion reference at 3:15. Or really the whole thing.

Fine, how about 2:22 (the crash scene).

By Eva ref do you mean the holding-toast-in-mouth-chibis-crash-into-each-other scene?

I dunno, I'm fairly certain running with toast and crashing into people on the way to school (or wherever) are both pretty common anime occurrences... though now that you mention it that particular chibi imagery does seem to specifically recall that scene from Eva...

... sorry can't translate. ^^;;

actually she knows the answer but she doesn't want to tell me

@Raiga: It's okay if you can translate the crash scene (2:22)

Don't think I can do that either. Just glancing at the hiragana I don't think I know all those constructions and it's not high enough resolution for me to look up the kanji I can't recognize on sight.

(tbqh I only really intended to ask if that was the Eva ref you meant ^^;; )

Can't say I can offer a translation but, is it my computer not displaying properly (never had a problem rendering hiragana before, although it did with some kanji), am I mistaking something here, or is there a す missing in that last line? Shouldn't the last bit be "どうすればいいの?"

Be careful, God is watching.
Please hold hands with me on the dark night's path!
Even if you go off alone, far away, I'll always be watching over you.
I'll teach you everything I know.
Even if I can't remember, I'll teach you as many times as you want.

But if you know everything, what should I do?

Some of the Japanese seems a little incorrect though.

I'd be careful with the 2nd line as we don't know who the subject is. The person could be saying to hold her/his hand, or could be just saying for people to hold hands with someone.

Even if I’m far away and all alone, he'll/she’ll always find me. (I think it's missing a "ku" for "kureru")
He/she teaches me everything he/she knows.
Even if I don't remember, he/she teaches me over and over.

But, if I end up understanding everything, then what should I do? (I think it's missing a "su" for "sureba")

I think the person doing all of the actions is "kami-sama", god. But yeah, the Japanese is kind of messed up in places.

Would it be correct to say "Kore wa komatta," for "this is troublesome?" It just sounds a little wrong to my ears.

Could just pull a Shikamaru from Naruto and use "mendokusai"

It depends on the nuance and how strongly you wanna convery that this is 'troublesome' - komaru typically is used when something is trouble you or if you're in a tricky situation, rather than you complaining or stating that something else is 'troublesome', otherwise 'mendokusai' gives off that nuance.

Japanese are not one to openly complain see....

It's 機, with the base meaning of 'machine'.

The compound is (from WWWJDIC):

機会 【きかい】 (n) chance; opportunity
