That perception is understandable; Imperial troops seem to wear more armor than their Gallian contemporaries.

As for the cloaked 'GAC 1.5' (conceptually, it seems to have evolved from the original DtR's GACs, which themselves resemble Helghast infantry or Jin-Roh's 'Panzer Cops'; keep in mind that Retribution is a reboot of the franchise)... well, it seems a better fit for Jaeger, given that he's more likely to be leading from the front.

Got some more for ya!

Spoiler for Size:

Of course I couldn't get past Juno, especially not after how much exposure she got in the manga. When I remembered the anime version of the Fouzen mission, I remembered how the 7s dsguised as civilians to sneak in and that reminded me of private contractors, Tier 1 operatives in Medal of Honor and Matt Damon's character in Green Zone (normal clothing under the bulletproof vests and weapons). I thought that would be a good idea of having Juno dressed like that and carrying an AK-74 stolen from the enemy (RedShocktrooper will sure like this).

I found these as well:

Spoiler for Cordelia vs. Audrey Gassenarl:

Spoiler for Remember this style of art?:

Spoiler for Coleen & Anisette (slightly NSFW):

Spoiler for Jane & Oscar:

@Juno art, sweet, very sweet
@Hans pic: ...how is Selvaria holding that when she has no fingers... yikes
@Cordelia pic: Uh... just my guy side talking, poor Cordelia is definately... outmatched in 1 catagory... guys know which one.
@Varrot pic: SWEET!! I like seeing the captain take to the field herself!!
@Coleen and Anisette pic: Oh dear... I avoided the NSFW pic, but opened this, that's quite the view... and slightly NSFW either, popped it up on my laptop just as the boss came around the corner, closed it quickly.
@Ramal and Isara pic: Sigh... if only, damn it. Ramal should have atleast confessed to Isara, I always wanted to see atleast 1 hug or most of all 1 kiss between them!!
@Jane and Oscar: Oh dear... Oscar looks scared, he can probably see everything she does from his high up position on the battlefield as a sniper. He's probably seen her brutality towards Imps, that's why he looks kind of scared :P

Hey Kira, I don't suppose you'll be doing fan art referencing Call of Duty: Black Ops in the future will you? You can now have Flamethrower Attachments with small disposable tanks on your assault rifles. This is a new feature not seen in Modern Day Warfare thank you sooooo much Geneva Convention.

I don't think I'll use flamethrowers. I don't really think of them as practical, especially when Gallians are defending their homeland, not scorching things on it. I think a rifle with a shotgun attachment for my next character will be OK.

I just watched Avatar again recently and a part of me wants to get some inspiration from Colonel Quaritch in "re-creating" Selvaria in modern day military in a future project.

I honestly wonder if those mated flamers actually existed, or they're an example of Treyarch taking a bit of dramatic license. Full-sized incinerators did see some use in Vietnam (reference), but other incendiary options include specialized shotgun slugs and grenades (in thrown and launched varieties), as well the M202A1 rocket launcher.

The Wikipedia article on flamethrowers does bring up a couple of interesting points: first, the violent 'cook off' of their tanks as a result of enemy fire is a Hollywoodism; and apparently only the Soviets went to the trouble of trying to disguise the things in WW2, in an attempt to make them less inviting targets for snipers.

Selvaria is indeed spooky with the knife but no fingers.

We all know yout preferences with Darcsen girls and I can tell you already that I have something in store for another Darcsen girl.

Fixed the "slightly NSFW" tag for Anisette (oi naughty! ).

I also wished Ramal had a chance to confess to Isara and do it. They just look so cute as a couple and had so much potential for something.

If Oscar's scared, he has a funny way of showing it with the right hand on Jane's hip. Maybe Oscar has some masochist tendencies that we don't know.

Holy Jeez... Kira, you're right. Juno + AK-74 = Hawt. I like.

Very much, I might add.

EDIT: The Jane/Oscar one seems to more so be them being caught at a... 'bad time', if you know what I mean.

If it's any consolation... one of those people didn't die.

Spoiler for Anime:

His death was off screen, so that alone meant there's a high chance he survived.

Furthermore it was showed in the game that he survived... in a different and cooler situation. This is one of the many reason i don't like the anime adaptation of VC.

Better late than never...

Yes, there are VC2-themed Valentine's Day images. Official ones, apparently...

Would've been interesting to see what Audrey's would have looked like.

Apparently, the next Marvel character to get the big screen treatment is none other than the First Avenger himself, Captain America. Some concept art from the game adaptation's developers, Next Level Games (whose prior work includes the Mario Strikers titles and Punch-Out! remake - I for one hope they'll approach this with the respect and committment Rocksteady had for their work on Batman: Arkham Asylum), and it occured to me that some could be used for another take on Imperial troops...

Spoiler for Concept art:

That looks awesome!

It could give me a few ideas about rendering Imperial troops and Selvaria on paper when I'll get over with the Modern Warfare versions of VC characters.

I don't think that it's a good design but it's a good combination between Kp98 and MP40. I think it will be very helpful.

Rendering Lynn is our reality was NOT an easy task, but here she is.

Spoiler for Lynn:

When I see her with the sleeved leveled up, it reminded me of some pictures when Marines were charging a beach in a hot summer day. I kept this one with the Marberry Shore assault in mind. Talk about heavily armed, I don't think anybody matches that better than Lynn here.

Here's moar from all over the net!

Spoiler for size and more fun:
