Nah, Type 3 Shell won't do much. If you are using Yamato-class, just do 46cm x2/Recon plane and your best Anti-Air Radar.

As you know or not, equipping heavy cannons on FBB or even Nagato-class can lead to some accuracy issues...

Welp, right after I solved my CVL and CV issues, another pops up. I only have one CAV. Mogami at level 87 or 88. I guess this is why I have branching issues at E-3. My last 6 or 7 runs were all redirected to A node. If I had just one good run from C node I would finally clear that last kill on E-3.

E4 cleared on hard. Cost around 10k fuel, 12k ammo, 5500 steel, 1500 baux and 44 buckets.

After trying 2BBV2DD1CLT1CV without success, I settled with 2BB2DD2CV with much better result, only failing to kill the boss twice, one due to retreating en route.

Fleet detail:
Yuudachi K2 (89) - 12.7cm Type B K2, 12.7cm Type B K2, Type 33 surface radar
Yamato K (98) - 51cm, 46cm triple, Type 0 obs., FuMO25 radar
Musashi K (97) - 46cm triple, 46cm triple, Type 0 obs., Type 32 surface radar
Verniy (96) - 10cm + AAFD, 10cm + AAFD, Type 13 air radar kai
Taihou K (99) - Egusa's Suisei, Reppu 601, Reppu 601, Ju87C
Kaga K (86) - Tomonaga's Tenzan, Reppu, Reppu kai, Ryuusei 601
Via B->F->H->J->K

Boss support fleet consisted of 4BB2DD, equipped with guns that improve accuracy and a radar. All kanmusus were triple sparkled when cond. dropped to 49.

I don't know how my fleet would pull off that kind of perfect coordination without attributing to an incredible amount of luck. I mean in case you didn't see it, it was a Hankousen encounter aka nerfed firepower and accuracy to both side.

Mmm... I just kinda go with whereever that gives me a bloody fight you know? Don't care if they're the kanmusu fleet or abyssal fleet, I'll take it either way as long as I see lots of shells and scraps flying.

That or one could think than he is up to the level, than doing o a lower difficulty would be passing on a opportunity. Me, I did it on he hard difficulty for the hope of better drop ( managed to get a Mutsu, a Nagato and a Hayashimo, the other drop weren't noteworthy.) and the dim possibility than the medalwould be more useful in the future.

I did look at what ressource I used for E5, I ended up using about as much ressources lowering the boss's lifegauge than it took killing it.

BTW, did somebody else used Akitsumaru on E5 ?

I was actually HQ level 79 when the event started and I sent the first day pushing myself to 80 just so I could try working on the A class difficulty. Some part of me regrets it but everything else is happy I did what I did

Got Amatsukaze on my first ever E2 boss kill. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to feel o.o

Only on boss node though. Would facing down the twin Ru class be feasible for farming?

Can anyone point me over to a good KCV tutorial? I decided to try it but after downloading I have no idea how to set it up. Google and youtube have thus far been intimidating sources of information.

Do you know how to copy/paste your API key in?

That's how I do it: use the cookie method to open the kancolle webpage, find the API key, and then paste it into KCV.

While I don't want to and probably won't remodel U-511 into Ro 500, the torpedoes that come with Ro 500 are pretty nice. +14 torpedo, +7 accuracy and +2 evasion.

Actually I don't really understand the whole API thing. I'm also iffy about it because I hear that you have to change your API link regularly? Still, ditching the VPM method would probably make things easier for me overall.

Just adopt the cookie method and you avoid API and VPN entirely.
