Not bait and switch. Love triangle. Aki was at least in the running the whole time, clearly. And it is obvious that she’s been the main heroine the whole time just like Chitoge, whether people admit it or not.

The only question is whether or not it will actually be a mai heroine ending. Main heroine status doesn’t guarantee the win, like True Tears and the Akane ga Somaru Saka anime. But I just want to see the author push forward the story that was started, and not give into the he fanboys.

It's really saddening that some people only see stories of this kind as shipping material, almost like they don't care about it's plot and such.

That's why I usually leave any kind of shipping matters aside and pay as close of attention as possible to a story's plot and it's characters.
They are what truly matter in a story, not the shippings
