But Hinagiku and Maria are much more serious candidates here (yet again we have to remember that its comedy anime we are atlking about - chance of seeing someone ending as a couple are extremely low, to begin with).

I feel that the Maria ending (yeah, talking like it's a visual novel feels easier somehow) seems impossible because Maria, herself, doesn't really think of Hayate that way.
Hinagiku, other than Ayumu, seems to be the only other possibility to me. Plus, they both had romantic moments recently in the manga (Ayumu in 11, and Hinagiku in 9 or 10... forgot).

Comedy anime- Yeah, I know. But there are occasional moments where it goes romantic genre. Plus, there are other comedy animes that have couplings.

But can you tell any comedy anime that would have ended ina romantic coupling? I can hardly remember, the ones that come in my head are Romance-Comedy and not Comedy-Romance.

well as the story goes hayate makes nagi go to school where she forgets her books...hayate then goes to fetch the books for her and ends up at the "haunted" side of school...and the fun unfolds...

i really like the hayate x Hinagiku moments in this ep...he saves her from a "moving body" and from that moment i can see a spark she runs to him for comfort and then goes all tsun mode XD



she doesnt want this embarassing act to be shown to other an so asks hayate to keep it a secret...but even so...she doesnt hesitate to tease hayate when he gets embarassed just being next to her

Regarding ep. 9

As a HayaxHina shipper I majorly dislike the fact that they changed the scene where Hayate comes to Hinagiku's rescue. In the original manga Hina recalled Hayate's promise "if you need me, all you have to do is call out" then screamed for him, followed right by the heroic entrance of our combat butler. It was 100x more awesome and cuter, in the anime, however, she simply yelled "someone help". This is no small change and even putting aside my support for their romance I fail to see the necessity of it. Honestly no clue what the anime group's trying to pull here. My only not-so-logic explanation I can think of is the director is a diehard supporter of the hamster girl, given all the coverage of her and all (if u read the manga u know who I'm talking bout)

If it's true that'd be VERY annoying = =

Well I dont think the studio put that much of meaning into those words, true it looked more romantic and greater in the manga, but following the logic of director - action happened (saving) so its OK, besides you get to see more of hamster girl which is completely random and not very funny(my only explanaation would be like yours - they seem to prefer her a lot).

As for who he will end up with. I don't think anyone, but if by some chance he does, I think for some reason or another it will be the original Nagi. But my vote goes for no one.

One gets a bad feeling or evil premontion if:
1. Isumi, whose got the worst sense of direction on any anime character I've ever seen, is actually awared that no one should be headed for the old school building.

2. The group of loafer girls out of a whim start to discuss the perverted nature of boys when they hit puberty.

3. No one has ever defeat Sadako and Ayako, while both Freddy and Jason can only get killed either by a virgin girl or a family relative.

The purple aura that came out from Hinagiku once she got riled up not to let her pride be stained by the scare the ghost gave her, was it youriki?

I do not think so because her eyes did not turn golden with cat-slitted pupils.

I second this. I thought the kick was disappointing compared to the manga. But still a good episode cuz Hina was in it

The bathroom scene was a bit shocking for me.
I guess they had to show that Hayata is really a guy after a questionable episode 8 lol

and the next episode is an anime original yay. At first I almost thought Sakuya was cosplaying as Souseiseki, but wheres that hat from?

Ah, yes. I couldn't remember where I had seen that before. And they even mentioned 3x3 Eyes & triclops in the preview last week.

Obvious MAR reference in Yukiji's room. (And again on the poster at the end of the ep.)

I'm wondering about the notebook. Maybe it's in the manga, but I had a strong suspicion about it.

I'm guessing the notebook didn't contain school notes, but Nagi was doing sketches for her manga. She was embarrassed when Hayate said he'd go back for it, like she didn't want him to know she wasn't paying attention during class.

And I'm afraid I've got some bad news. For the first time in the series, there is no Conan. Poor guy, I'll miss him.

A fair episode. It just focused a lot about school and Hinagiku (). I'm hoping they do some kind of episode about the 3 Stooges girls as I am rather interested how they're friends with Hina or acquainted with Nagi.

Hmm, was that manikin of machine or magic origin? I wonder if Isumi has magical powers.

episode 8 and 9 were pretty good. so far the series was pretty plain but I wouldnt mind alot more shows like this.

episode 8 is probably my favorite so far. when i first saw the previews i was expecting the worse, but in the end they didnt focus on much ridiculous cosplay and did have a goal. if it was up to me there would definately be a mariel/maria ending

what other characters did nagi's friend the comedian girl play in? i can't seem to pin point her kansai dialect from other shows, but it does sound familiar.

personally, i thought the teasing bit in episode 9 was a bit out of character. not to say it wasn't a bit enjoyable, because I think it should have been a little be longer scene.

episode 10 is going to be an animation original is it? let's not say FILLER just yet.

Ep 9

This show needs more tsunderes.

Wasn't that funny an episode, but we got to see more interactions between Hayate and Hinagiku (who really is an outstanding character), so I'm not adverse to that at all. Didn't recognize any references in this ep, so they either didn't have any (unlikely, since Telliamed has already pointed out some) or they all went over my head.

You know, this show reminds me of School Rumble in a sense, since it started out purely as a comedy but has managed to establish some fairly intriguing relationships. I wouldn't complain too much if it went down a similar path to that... obviously providing it doesn't make too many of the same slip ups SR has made to date.

hina's sis is cute this episode. and hina should stop teasing like that, it's good that hayate is a good boy, but if it's somebody else, you might get a bad outcome.
