I finally saw the first 2 episodes of this series. It is quite a surprise so far at how entertaining it has been. My only dislike so far is the main character, who is drawn strangely and has a personality that deserves to be alone. Bullying is a major issue in Japan, but how he whines constrantly and how he treats his friends has its own problems. I guess the main problem is that I cannot relate to him.

Aside from that, the series looks interesting, and the action scenes are fun to watch. I look forward to seeing what Kuroyuki-hime has planned.

Wait? What? Her name is really Black Snow Princess in her normal world? Something is not right about that. She does not have a real first and last name. Could she actually be a virtual character of some sort?

Even there isn't really much spoilerish stuff about it, but still, all I can say is, patience.

Most ppl need to remember this story is also about him glowing up and see that its not the outside that counts but inside that makes a difference and that he can fly above all of it (Silver Crow). Plus he is only 13-14 years old, so he still learning about it. So let off on his personality and looks.

Back to the Series, it is a very good series, its falling the LN perfectly and I cant wait to see more of this.

Actually, with regards to looks, most people are not bothered by him being fat, but by him having a SuperDeformed character design. Granted, it's following the LN illustrations, but still......

The reason I was thinking about this is because they are living in a world where their brain is hooked up to a computer almost all the time. It is possible to create a virtual character that manifests itself throughout the network.

However, I am not sure the story would take that approach. I am mainly concerned why her name is so different and special compared to everyone else.

Main character was a massive turn off. followed by the cliche "cute girl has interest in him for no reason whatsoever" trope I can see coming a mile away, gotta pass.

I'm thinking that the fact that Kuroyukihime does have a reason for her interest is going to be one of the big plotlines of the series. I mean, come on, she obviously wants him for something, whether its his mad VR skillz or something else, she didn't just pick him for no reason.

But that is just her screename not her real name. At least I am pretty sure the anime made that clear.

She has no other name. Even in school, they refer to her as that, which is quite strange. How many people do you know are refered to as their screen name instead of real name when you went to school? It is very unusual.

Yeah, dropping the series for that reason is doing so extremely prematurely, especially since I'm pretty sure this isn't going to adhere to that trope at all. The anime staple is that girls fall for generic guys that are nice and handsome; Snow Black is showing interest in the bullied fat kid outcast. The situation rings oddly enough that it's pretty obvious to me that the girl isn't focusing this much on Hirayuki 'just because.'

No, I can obviously see she's interested in him because of his skill VR skills. But I can see it becoming more than, which is the is turn off. there's no way it WON'T end up that way.

Still think it's pretty silly to assume the series will go down the 'Heroine falls in love with protagonist for no reason' route, but okay

I won't care even if it happens. The dynamics of the online playing and the augmented reality world they live is much more interesting. Besides, even if she does fall in love with him, he won't accept it since he thinks nothing of himself. This opens up many possibilities for growth, which will obviously be accomplished later on.

I'm honestly excited for the next few episodes, the best part of the manga(adaptation from the LN, they are following it) earlier on is coming. This is gonna be awesome.

Well, hopefully we will find out the reason why she is called that way. It is just strange that everyone else has a full name besides her in this series. I went through my usual sources, and this is the only name she that she is known as.

Much needed info about Black Lotus. Chiyu and Haru had a nice moment together. Uh oh, what's up with that back door.

It does kind of knock Chiyu down a few pegs with how she just automatically assumes that Kuroyukihime is just using Haru as if thinking that there's no way someone beautiful and popular like Kuroyukihime could ever be with someone like Haru. It makes it look like she herself thinks so lowly of him, despite supposing to be a good friend of his, you know?

I know she's not really a bad person and just trying to look out for him and protect him, but she does need to rethink how she does so at times like that.

The fact of the matter is that most popular, beautiful girls would not want to be with Haru, unless they had an ulterior motive or just wanted to hurt hum. It's sad but true. So her suspicion is not unreasonable.

Besides, how would you feel if someone just jumped in and resolved some of the conflicts you've been trying to solve for some time in the matter of a day....and was beatifull to boot?
That simple action, pilled on the fact that the friend-trio has been gradually distancing themselves for some time, was the trigger for her outburst.
Seems pretty legit for me.
