If someone is unable to fulfill the conditions of their death, then they have a heart attack, just as if no conditions or cause of death was written. That was proven by Light when he experimented on prisoners.

Klashikari: Great minds think alike, no? xD;
Adding on to Sannin's answer: Yes, although "1 minute from now, John will walk out of the room, cross the street and die from a car crash." alone isn't an "impossible condition," if someone interferes on purpose by like..locking the door, then the victim will simply die of a heart attack. Though I'm not that sure, since he hasn't experimented enough for me to say that. Remember the episode where he was experimenting with what he can do with the prisoners's actions? And he wanted one of them to die in front of the Eiffel Tower within an hour? Well, I guess it could be possible if he was placed on a spaceship or something. But that might be included as something that people wouldn't do if they never had a thought about it. So if the police officers never had a thought of placing the prisoner on a spaceship to send him to France, then it's impossible. This relates to how Light wanted one of the prisoners to write "L suspects the police officers." And that prisoner just died of a heart attack, since he never thought about that. |

1) If is indeed true, you probably would see threads all around about Death Note being cancelled 2) If it is a rumor, nothing about it is being confirm unless it is stated on official websites. 3) Why is it cancelled? for what purpose? because is too burtal or tragic? Besides.....where have you read that Death Note is cancelled? Can you provide us with info/links that we can check it out if is even reliable? |

A question about the Live action movie of death note.
Q: Is it licensed by any company?. Q2: Does the live action movie end the whole story?. Or it is just an alternate story to Manga and anime. Please if the answers of my questions have spoilers on them please make sure to put it in spoiler tag . Thanks in advance.

What is the deal with Misa's eyes? (I do not mean her Shinigami eyes)
Throughout episode 14 her eyes seemed to change from blue to brown and back again to blue. It also happened the same in episode 13. |

Question: What is the average lifespan of a Deathgod?
I'm curious after it is revealed, the new girl with Shinigami power (I need to work on these names ) got her extension in life as Jealous expires to give his own to her. That development leads to a couple of other questions, but I'll hold them for now to see if they are answered in the upcoming episodes.

AFAIK, Deathgods can live as long as they want. When a deathgod kills a human using their Death Note, the cut-off lifespan of that human (meaning the time the human would have lived until dying a natural death) is transferred to the Deathgod's lifespan. I could be mistaken...

My question is if a human is killed by a Death Note holder, his or her remaining life span goes to the Shinigami, who is the original owner of the Death Note it lent to the human using it? For example, would Ryuk's lifespan has been extended immensely due to Light's godly purge of ridding the world of criminals using his (Ryuk's) Death Note? Or those remaining life spans go to waste into oblivion? |

I don't believe Ryuk gains the lifespans of those killed by Light/Kira. As you stated, the shinigami is the original owner, but when Ryuk's Deathnote is left in the human world and picked up by Light, Light gains possession of the Deathnote. At that point it is Light's Deathnote; it was simply associated with Ryuk before Light's involvement. Ryuk doesn't write any of Kira's victims' names in the Deathnote, so he gains no lifespan from them.
Also, the someone posted earlier about Misa's eyes changing color, to which someone replied that it was a "stupid animation mistake." This isn't true- it is done on purpose. Misa is a popular model/actress who assumes many looks. More than likely she wears contact lenses that change her eye color, which explains her magical color-changing eyes.

Ryuk definitely doesn't get the lifespans of the people Kira's killing simply because it's not his Death Note anymore, so he has to stay at Lights side because it once was his Death Note, but he doesn't get the lifespans because it's not his DN anymore...
