I've seen this manga is being published in the US, but I'm cautious about buying it. It's wrapped in plastic. That seems promising, but it makes it difficult to see if they did any major alterations from the original versions. That is always a deal breaker for me.

I bought all 4 volumes and the translations were spot on. Hell they are almost word for work with the scanlations. Do you even know japanese? As I remember most the swearing was already in english in the japanese versions. Like the scene where revy is at the shooting gallery after she is cheated out of the prize.
I took it for a few years and I thought they did a good job. Thank god they shrink wrapped it so those posers who just read it and never buy can't ruin it with their dirty cheetoe stained fingers. Plus I have all the chapters to date 71 raw and translated. But the book is a tiny bit bigger than a normal manga that's why it's 2-3 dollars more. I have a subscription so I pay about 10 bucks or less. They plan to release up to volume 7, and probably to 9 eventually. |

...wow, even cold-hearted Balalaika had her moment in the light...and she got kicked down into the dark muck of the underworld.
Why is it always the 'bigwigs' who manage to screw everyone over...? (rhetorical)

As I thought Balalaika is a good person at heart just got screwed hard for doing the right thing I always thought that her being honorable was weird in a city of back stabbers, thieves etc. Wonder whats gonna happen when they catch up with Roberta

The way I look at it, I just don't think there's any way this arc could have any sort of resolution without Roberta dying. I won't go into detail because I don't want to spoil anything, but judging from the way the other characters talk about her, the hole her mind's fallen into is just too deep and I really don't think the kid (I can't recall his name ATM) can bring her back.
