Nearly all English translated manga is right to left nowadays (i.e. in the original Japanese layout). When manga was first translated it was mostly "flipped" (so it was read left to right) but for the last two or so years the publishers realised that the people who purchased English translated manga didn't mind if it was in it's original format so have saved costs by not flipping it anymore. |

Actually I work for a small newspaper and we are interested in printing FMA, just that we were hoping to find it translated reading left to right. As for the contact, I wanted to who i should get in touch with regarding getting permission to print it, cost, etc.

Buy from Barnes and Noble
A bit over a month ago I purchased online some manga titles through BarnesandNoble.com
However, it's been over a month ago, and my order hasn't been delivered yet, though I checked the status for my order and says that the products were shipped the day after I made the purchase. What's taking them so long? |

You need to contact B&N and let them know that it seems your order has been lost in the mail. You better first find out how long the time period is before they accept an item is lost, it's might be 2 months or so before they (B&N) can claim back from the postal service. I'm sure their Q&A page will cover missing items. |

usually brand new japanese mangas ranges from $4.00 -$5.50. i only have less than 10 brand new mangas. i usually buy second hand which costs $1.00-$3.50. second hand manga sets would cost $20.00-$70.00++, depending on the number of volumes, condition, and original price. 17 volumes of furuba costs me around $35.00... i dunno why the heck it's so expensive! i doubt if the writers and illustrators even get money from this exportation. manga prices have the same prices as that of pocket-sized dictionaries, goosebumps, enid blython books, sweet valley something, small pocket-sized how-to-speak *insert language here*, all those young adult pocket books etc... these stuff are not to expensive when they're exported! those manga distrubutors are ripping you off! i'd rather buy the originally japanese even if my japanese is limited then dl the scanlations for further help... plus if you read them in japanese (if you are learning japanese), that would greatly help your kanji recognition skills. i think ordering manga online is just to expensive. bookstores are way better and you can browse too! ^^ i love the scent of bookstores... Where I get my stuff.
<URL removed>
I get all of my stuff from there. A good forinstance on decent prices; Negima 13, hot off the presses, and their normal price: $7.67 free shipping on all orders over $99, and decent shipping otherwise. they always ship within 2 days, and I ALWAYS get it within 5 working days. They also have imports, and an extremely wide variety of domestic. I have NEVER been disapointed by them. They take Paypal, Credit card, and you can even mail it to them! I do not work for these people, I'm just a customer Oh yeah, And they have Pocky! Oops, gotta edit.. All their manga is 30% off, and the anime is discounted as well. AND they have weekly specials, like 40% off ADV week, or 30% off import week.. They rule! Enjoy! Bill Last edited by xris; 2006-10-29 at 14:00. Reason: Known source of bootlegs removed |
