Tip of the Day:
Open up the player with random anime in it. Pause. Open another instance of the player. Press 'PrintScreen.' There, the first player instance will be blank, but the second one will display normally (although I have noticed that the colours won't be the same). |

Screen Caps
I was trying to make a screencap of this scene in one of my video files. But it come out messed up. Like you only see part of the screen, or too much black space and when I closed the video file, the entire image went away. I tried capping it with Print Screen and with the screen cap option in Paint Shop Pro. Maybe it's a video file and thats why. but does anyone know what I should do?

The problem is that the image is on the overlay. When video acceleration is used the image is sent directly to the video card with only a section of the screen (marked by the color of your media player's blank screen) that shows what is on the overlay. This means that you can't use Print Screen to take a picture of the video. To deal with this problem either turn off video acceleration or else use BS Player's screen capture function. I don't watch anime with BS Player, but I do use it for screeshots.

virtualdub -> file -> open
then find the frame you want and press "print screen", open paint and paste, save as whatever you want ^_^ or select a sequence of video with the start and end tab things, then go to file -> save image sequence to get each frame of that part of the movie all saved in a folder of your choice as either bmp or tga. |
