"Whisper of the Heart" here too with "Spirited Away" coming a close second. I don't know but I think it's the simple perspective on life that I like about the movie. Nothing too supernatural.
I've still to watch Tokijo but judging by the feedback it's probably going to be another must own once the English subs DVD is out

My Personal list top 5: 1. Ah! My Goddess the movie 2. Conqueror of Shambala (Full Metal Alchemist movie) 3. Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest 4. Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might 5. X I really enjoyed #3 and 4 back in the day---I saw them when they aired for the first time on Cartoon Network.
