Actually, the cast here felt hollow in their motivations by comparison: being unified by a desire to realise Hiyori's dreams wasn't compelling compared to coming together to do what they could for others in their own way, especially when the other series does a superior job of world-building and giving viewers a reason to cheer everyone on. Extreme Hearts does well is limited, whereas the "other" idol focused anime landed everything, save some of the animation, and the BDs will rectify this anyways. Claims this is the better series overall have been poorly-argued and unconvincing. In fact, they're so short, it's as though those holding the opinion expect us to agree with them on virtue of reputation alone, and as such, are certainly not worth consideration.
