But really if it was Bidleid and if the speculation is correct about him being Beelzebub's son, wouldn't it be weird for someone as old as him to bully a child in public? That seemed like the action of someone much younger and immature

The names of the Maou's descendants listed along with Rizevim seemed to be the children of the original Maou.

People such as Rizevim, Raynare, Euclid and others are extremely immature despite being centuries old even in vanilla DxD. Age doesn't necessarily correlate to maturity, so bullying a child doesn't really say anything to imply it wasn't Bidleid.

How young were Kat and Shalba then lol. I thought they were older? Though from Shalbas diologue he might have been close to Valis age.

I would say that Shalba, Katarea, and Cruesery were the same age as the current Yondai-Maou. As they did speak as if they were somewhat familiar with each other.

Bullying a child is really what someone very young would do.

Does this volume give an estimate on how long ago this took place?

The current ones we see are probably the same generation as Rizevim. The descendants we know are likely their children or grandchildren depending the time period between Zero and the civil war takes place. Their attitudes are basically just those of privileged royalty. They just look down on all those not of the Maous because they see themselves as special. This can happen at all ages and is one of the reasons people try to overthrown monarchies.

It's not really confirmed whether or not this took place 500 years ago or not. Le Fay said so.

As for that Beelzebub descendant, he was probably a cousin or something of Beelzebub's son. All Maou children have middle names, after all. Like Rizevim Livan Lucifer.
