You could classify the club as his harem. Though that does leave out Oryou Sonozaki, who should probably be included after what happened is episode 10 of Kai. She's Higurashi's tsundere character. |

That seems extremely unlikely; after all doing so wouldn't fit into the series' continuity. I hope that we'll see Saikoroshi-hen animated though, since it does follow Matsuribayashi-hen. There's been a rumor that an extra episode of Higurashi will be broadcast after episode 24; with a little luck that's what they're planning on producing.

A lot has been said about Akasaka's GAR moment in this episode, so I won't be talking about that anymore.
Anyway, it's been a long time since I dished out a 10/10 rating for a HiguKai episode (last time it was Episode 13), and this episode deserves such a rating. Not only because of what was mentioned earlier, but because there was tension all around the episode, only this time, nobody died. I really felt that Casey and friends was really placed in really deep crap. And oh, Satoshi's alive. What a surprise. Best line in the episode goes to Rika-chama, saying that she'll live on and grow taller and have big breasts. I guess she really doesn't want to lose to Mion as suggested by that DVD extra. |

Oh, and what kind of guns are thos that Shion and Kasai have? They didn't look to be machine guns, they just seemed to be manual rifles... Now, the bigger question: Who would win in a fight of Shion and Akasaka?
Even further, when Akasaka was attacking the Yaimanu, why didn't they just shoot him? Oh, and http://rapidshare.de/files/38006366/...arody.ass.html if you want a joke sub on this. I made it. ^_^

Shion used a Kalashnikov, while Kasai was carrying a Shotgun.
first question: hard, depend of the situation second question: as seen in the previous arc, and what we can determne in the previous episodes, the Yamainu prime objective is to protect and ensure the safety and secrecy of the institute. As result, they are forced to be discrete (so they couldn't act when the police marked teppei). In such case, it wouldn't be that surprising if they allocated all the firearms to the assaulting team, while the back didn't have much weaponry. This might be a mistake of their part, but considering their dominating situation, they wouldn't really expect such reinforcement like Akasaka.

Oh, that was a shotgun? Hm, interesting enough. I guess that means Kasai doesn't know how to use a Kalashnikov.
The thing I am curious on is why they didn't use a gun on Akasaka. It just seems like after he had done a bit of beat-em up action, they'd label him as a threat to the secrecy and kill him...
