I don't think that goes beyond what we've seen from the Fate-verse to this point. We've had partially or mostly divine legendary spirits like Heracles or Gilgamesh. We've even had outright monsters like Medusa. A warrior god would certainly be a rarity, but seems plausible to me.

Other than the removal of Illya's monologue about Medea, I was also disappointed they removed every single comedy moment from the episode (and there were some really funny ones). I guess they're trying to do for a darker mood.
Other than that, great episode, albeit Gil's fight lacked the intensity it had in the manga. Then again, it's pretty hard to match Hiroyama's art (it's amazing how much he's improved as an artist over the course of the series). Divine spirits can also be summoned as servants, it's just that the power needed to achieve that is near impossible to obtain. The Moon Cell can do it. The summoning system used by the Ainsworths is clearly different from the one used in F/SN, we don't know what its limitations are.

Gil-kun unlike his adult version a gent dong that for Tanaka.
Last episode was the question of who Tanaka s. Now it is what Tanaka? The Ainsworth can twist Space-Time. Illya and gang could've arrived in this reality days or weeks apart. This is why Beatrice refers to Illya as white, being an albino, as Kuro is darker version of her. We know from Nasu lore there are other items called Holy Grails. The Church has a catalog of them but they don't refer to the cup used in the Last Supper. The Fuyuki Holy Grail is a wish granting device. Illya was to be the key to the ritual in the llyaverse but Kiritsugu and Irisviel rebelled against the Einzbern to save their daughter. Illya in season 1 can use the wish granting function when she is in danger. However since splitting from Kuro, the original Illya personality, that power can't be called upon and her mana capacity decreased. Miyu seems to be Illya's parallel universe equivalent but unlike Illya who was artificially induced she as Gil-kun says is a natural born human Holy Grail. The Ainsworth master has been collecting other grails and mystic codes until her came upon Miyu. |

Miyuverse Grail doesn't work the same way. Its rules are different. We might get far enough this season to see why that might be. Also, Thor is Cool. I'm betting that if there had been a MCU when Fate/Stay Night first came out, Thor probably would have been one of the participants...

Very good episode.
It was cool to see Caster!Illya, and it's amusing to see Gilgamesh in a protagonist role. The action scenes were appropriately flashy with some good twists and turns. The character that interests me the most is Tanaka. She was already interesting before this episode, but now she gets even more interesting due to how she is incredible at damage soaking/tanking attacks. On the flip-side, she's (so far) almost useless offensively, but my suspicion is that her amnesia might be playing into that.

Yeah its a shame a couple of things were cut but nothing big and I expected it'd be those things. They got through all that without feeling rushed as well. This is going good. The fight for Illya and Ko-Gil were great- animation and effects were top notch. Was hyped when Illya did her henshin since its been a while! Touching scene with Illya declaring she'll save Miyu someday and was smiling when the arrow struck Beatrice's weapon since we know who that is. Next week should also be fun going by the preview.
Also the OST so far is so good. |

I'd suspect that's all it is .
I mean even look at just Miyu when using Sapphire. There is no need for that outfit to look like that . The expanded Fate-verse has basically been like that for a long time anyways, just looking at the console, handheld and mobile games. Quote:
And couldn't help smiling as I paused the video right when that attack struck the hammer. "Oh there you are Kuro" . Best part might have been just how amused Gil was getting during that fight. When he started to get the advantage and was practically laughing at Angelica's attempts to mimic him.

Ruby and Saphire outfits make sense since they are pretty much decided by the wands who have obsession with the magical girl stuff. |
