Nearly everything was in place. About the only things missing were the "serious faces" and related moments. Though I don't think these parts had any such moments..aside from Hosaka going on about his salad on whim...with full on song and delusion. (Hosaka has come a long way from being that creepy guy that sweat a lot in the fourth episode of season one, to being the fully delusional, fish loving, master chef by episode eight and then beyond awesome by the end of the season where he laughs the New Year's aways from the mountian top.)

I blame blogsuki for that. As early as episode 4 in 2007 the comments section was already calling the odd ultra-realistic faces/character art the cast would be from time to time as "'Bible Black' faces". It kind of stuck.

It has an official website now.
And will be starting on the 5th (really the 6th). And the Blue Ray of Season 1 will be out on the 9th for ¥19,950

Long time lurker here, finally managed to successfully fight off his own laziness and properly register
This has to be my most anticipated title of the upcoming year. Season 3 was one of the very few ongoing titles i ever watched, and it says a lot - i prefer to watch them when they are finished. This way i save myself from trouble of painful weekly sessions of waiting, avoiding all the source material spoilers, and fighting an urge to watch raws missing half the dialog due to limited knowledge of spoken japanese But i feel Minami-ke is worth all of this trouble, if this season manages to retain the "minami-ke magic" of the first season, which was somewhat lost in later seasons. |

Nice PV, even if it's just a bunch of extremely short clips bundled together. The character designs look similar to Season 3. I actually prefer S3's design than S1, maybe because I like characters with sharp features.

Even if it is like the third season with improved art/animation I will like it very much.
It mostly comes down to if they have the timing down for the jokes. They had problems with that for the first part of the second season (not having enough pauses for the joke to work before moving on to the next scene. Missing some of the reaction takes that would be in the first season and in some ways in the third). The face changing gag was dropped though. Though up to were I read, that joke seemed to be in the manga less and less.
