Yes, Sena has really come a long ways since her first appearance. And now, she does not back down when her friends are in trouble. She respects those who can stand with her on equal grounds, and she really acknowledges Yozora this episode as such. She still has room to grow, but hey, when you're in your teens, there is a lot of room for improvement. There really has been growth for her these last few episodes. Quote:
How to avoid destruction of the club? First, he should have pulled Sena aside and talked in private. Then he should have told her that they are still in high school and too young to think about marriage. Also, he is not ready for a relationship, and he much rather they still remain as friends for now. After that, they could go back to the rest of the group and just explain that romantic relationships are off-limits for now and building friendship should take top priority. After which, he should admit that they are friends, but the goal still remains that they study and improve their friendship. By doing this, he would have calmed all the girls down, and he could remain as friends, while also telling the girls not to try and date him. So no, I don't believe he is truly doing what he did for the girls. He is doing what he did to try to protect himself, which is cowardly and selfish. Hence, why a lot of people on the boards here are upset with him.

Kodaka panicked. He's tried very hard to hold onto something important to him and ran into the problem head first. Sena dropping a grenade in the situation doesn't help matters. (She's playing a game and drops a "hey, let's get married". That's out of left field, even by anime confession standards)
This is, however, one of those plot lines that really only works well in anime with a "removed parents". He's unmoored emotionally, with no stabilizing forces in his life. When he's attached a lot of stability to the club, risks to the "club" leave him in a bind and he doesn't know what to do. So, he panics. You all would, but Sena is the poster girl so, of course, we want to see her hook up with the main guy. It means the characters and the melodrama worked, not that Kodaka was a coward. His response frame was established back in the first series, so he's neither dense nor a coward. He's just himself and his own issues. I'm curious how this is going to resolve. However it does, it's not going to be a clean situation. |

So you people think that abusing your authority as the principal's daughter for your own self interest is a sign of maturity???
Yozora was badass in her confrontation with Yusa because she fought by the rules. Sena just changed the rules to her liking when she was cornered. That's not cool in my book. Yusa played the role of the antagonist and she may have a personal grudge against Sena but the truth is that the Rinjinbu is a bogus club that shouldn't exist, as they basically spend 99% of the time just playing games. We tend to take the side of the main characters but -objectively speaking- the Student Council is in the right here. Rika once again confirmed that she is the best girl. As for Kodaka, I am not even mad. Everybody would have reacted awkwardly to such a public love confession. I was more enraged with him last episode, when he stubbornly refused to acknowledge that the club members are already friends with each other. We aren't even talking of romantic relationships here! It's fine if Kodaka's doesn't want a girlfriend for now but I don't see how admitting that they are friends would destroy the status quo. The club can still stand since they have yet to learn how to make friends with strangers. Even if the club is disbanded, they can still hang out like normal friends do.

I agree that Rika is the best girl. She put efforts in trying to grab Kodaka attention by changing her hair styles and even changing her clothes.
She remembers the no. of days since they met which i find it impressive. Only problem is her eccentric love for BL which i still don`t know if its an act or real. |

You can take Yozora or Sena or whatever but i'll take Rika
All the hate on Kodaka , guys , i just wonder how you'll really react if you were in his place (for real not on the net , yeah isn't it too easy otherwise) Anyway , now that Sena confessed , things should be awkward. Rika will solve this don't worry |

Yusa got crushed so badly I actually found myself sympathising with her. She was trying too hard to stick to the rules and unfortunately came up against the very two people who treasure the existence of the Neighbours' Club to great levels.
Sena's confession was definitely unexpected, granted she just blurted everything out without realising how it would destroy the current club dynamic, and Kodaka's blatant attempts to pretend he could avoid the issue completely despite it all being clear as day to everyone in the club was pretty cowardly. Fair enough, he actually does not want the current camaraderie between the club members to be affected but to find an excuse to try and avoid the issue ("game was too loud" No. Just. No.) was such that Rika once again was left disappointed at his lack of courage to face the issues head-on. Well, on towards the finale then, I suppose. |

I remembered seeing someone post that the best thing Kodaka would have done is act tsukkomi to Sena's boke and deliver a chop to the head — "You've been playing too much dating sims lately" — before making a quiet and calm exit. That's the time when he plans his next move on Sena.

What he did seems in character. Kodaka is mostly fine in his comfort zone but this time around left hanging out to dry. Kodaka is never silk when it comes to social situations. He's earnest, but awkward.
Besides, hanging around to defuse is not likely going to work. Sena is the type to push ahead and state clearly she's not kidding. Then what? |

You have forgotten one girl in the picture. Should they marry, guess what are the odds of Kobato saying "NO!" when the priest ask "Speak now or forever hold your peace", who have had the big NO whenever Sena got a little too friendly to her and would be less than happy to have Sena as sister-in-law?

remember when she hid her face in Sena's arms? Her making an objection during a marriage wouldn't have any effect if they still want to marry btw.

Now, spanish lessons with haganai. Rika sounds like Rica which means "deliciious (female)". Yozora does not mean anything, but Yozorra means literally "I am a fox (female)". Sena sounds like Cena which means "dinner". |

The Sena one is interesting since her nickname is "meat", though. And it's true that references to the Spanish language seem to be fairly common in Japanese animes. So you could be right, but then it would be our dear writers who are really overthinking it. :P |
