In the match between Jibril and Izuna there were two outcomes; Jibril wins and the game is over, or Izuna wins and Jibril becomes an ally. Since the game didnt end it would be safe to assume Izuna won the match.

What i wanna know is when Jibril was running up the building how she was able to disappear so quickly that even a werebeast couldnt follow. Magic? Speed?
Doubt a werebeast can survive a hydrogen bomb.

And Jibril is amazing once again in this episode.

I wonder if Miko can match that next episode.

It's also safe to assume Izuna is better at this game to begin with since she probably always was the one playing it.

Ok, first and foremost, let's check the obvious cons of this episode before someone starts being annoying about it. Yes, the part at the beginning is pretty much a cop out and the thing about not being able to use magic is a bit weird, though Jibril could be just that menacing for Izuna to make that image in her head, you know, ancient weapon of mass destruction and all. As for the first problem, I stopped caring at the five minute mark. Why? Because then they started playing Galgun Strip: Valve physics edition: Now with 30% more incest!

Can't believe they actually brought up Akiba strip...

Is this show perfect? No. Is it the smartest thing outhere right now in terms of true hard logic? Not even close. But it is easily one of the most entertaining shows of the year so far. Or maybe I'm just the perfect intended audience On that regard, totally loved that opening, which I swear had some kaminomi parody mixed in there (could swear that introduction speech was based on the introduction from the one-shot), and that song was like something you could hear in any galge while at the same time seemed to parody that very kind of music. Someone involved in the making of this knows their stuff.

And yeah

Spoiler for Obvious?:

I hadn't laughed so hard in weeks And I have to mention Sora's face. You know the one. That face was priceless. The kind of moment you just have to pause to let it sink in.

And of course, poor Steph. Sorry girl, but it couldn't be a full fledged episode of NGNL without you experiencing misfortune.

Now it's time for the true beast mode. Talk about one hell of a climax.

What Izuna did is entirely physical: a pure function of her (or any Warbeast's) body. There was no magic involved.
How is it physical if there's no physical body, and all the magical rune symbols on her body screams magic. If all she did was get fuzzy without magic symbols then it'll be different.

Of course Izuna will be able to use magic, she's cheating. Her clothes didn't dissolve when hit with the bullets but rather deflects right off. She's using magic to communicate with Ino, obvious magic, her excitement made her lose sense and wanted to enjoy herself more, so obviously she makes the mistake of using her power up. Not to mention she should've fallen in love when shot in the face, but she didn't, obvious cheat.

That'll be her mistake that'll cost her the game.

Just see it as some kind of "Beserker mode" that Orcs in various games can use.

It's hard to see but the bullet hit her headband. I mentioned that in my first post responding to you.

For those who missed the Mahouka reference, it's the part where Sora tries to shoot away the NPCs pantsu.

And damn, dat episode. Every second feels like Madhouse is enjoying the ever-loving shit out of it.

This was just a ton of fun. Have to give credit to a series that just tries to have fun with every episode. It's not the greatest thing ever made, but it is certainly the most fun series of the season for me. Always eager to see what this show is going to do next .

Glad they quickly dealt with the paralyzed issue early. Though I'm still wondering what Sora's plan with Steph is. Maybe it will come into play next episode. Unless it was really for something stupid after the game which is possible .

This was enjoyable. Glad that Shiro, Sora, and Jibril all had their little moments. Shiro is the god of FPS . Probably could deal with people using speed hacks and everything . Shiro vs Izuna was pretty good. Also used a classic but good trick. Pretend to be hit and then reveal that later. Really that's on Izuna for not being cautious and hitting Shiro a second time to be certain.

Good for Izuna that she's finally getting to take part in a game she can really enjoy.

The fact that the virtual world is only "coincidentally" looking like Akihabara leaves me a lot skeptical. How can there be so many particulars that are the same? And how do you explain the writing system?

I totally expected that Shiro only faked her switching side, however it's not very plausible that the warbeasts never implemented a sure way to tell when one is hit or not, and which side they are on. I mean, you just need a system message, or an overhead icon, come on...

Anyway Shiro's skills are certainly amazing, and here she was penalized by the fact her real body limits are taken in account. She's more like a machine than a human, if she was playing a FPS everyone would assume that she's using an aimbot.
Don't think there are really Japanese text there. Most text there are in warbeasts languages, (for an example of warbeast text, see the game name in opening), which look a lot like kana and some latin characters, but they aren't

No it didn't. The bullet hadn't yet hit her from what i observe in the episode.

ah.... what a satisfying shooting scene... very tense
although the opening is little trolling
what a fun game... Steph got sacrificed for testing game rules

anyway, Shiro-Sora tag team is scary as usual... adding Jibril, it's perfect
I'm guessing Steph would be the trump card for winning
just when I thought Izuna would lose, she revealed her true form

How the siblings could defeat Izuna-beast with Jibril in a point where they can't evade (in air)?
dat cliffhanger... I hate it T___T

Taking away Jibril's magic and forcing her to rely on her physical abilities, impressive as they are, is the only way Izuna can hope to compete with her as the warbeasts natural traits give them an advantage here and allow them to surpass Jibril in the purely physical realm only.

The falling part with Izuna and Jibril doesn't make sense.
How did Izuna fell first when Jibril was under her and her falling speed dropped when she bumped the building?
That aside, Sora is the quote-maker of the series, while Jibril is the best (but that was obvious) :3

Wind resistance. Without magic Jibril's wings aren't good for flying, but they'll slow her falls.

Actually, even pure physical Jibril outclasses Izuna. However, as you can see Izuna has that strange Blood Destruction ability, so according to the LN (for this episode, not spoilers), for just that instantaneous moment Izuna is stronger than Jibril, and she beat her at that moment.

There are differences in game familiarity.
Jibril forgetting the magic restriction created an opening, meaning she is handicapped.
In contrast, Izuna knows about the tricks in the game, from using clothing and bullet deflection, neither which was seen to be used by Jibril.
Since Jibril lost before, the same trick might be used again to defeat her again.

That'll be her mistake that'll cost her the game.
I rewatched all the situations where she was shot at, and every time she didn't evade she atually blocked with her clothing, which dissolved right afterwarts.
Her movements are a bit fast that is why it might look like she got hit for some people, but i'm very certain she didn't get hit, othrwise the anime team would have screwed up pretty badly.
As said though pretty sure she didn't get hit.

I also think it has been established earlier on in the series that Warbeasts can't use magic.
Not sure if they mentioned the name of that warbeast ability yet (though they should have done that already), they definitely mentioned its effects though. Nevertheless its not magic. - Warbeasts are unable to use magic.
