The same will probably be true for the Duke.

I respect Zain's efforts to get through to Sade and convince her that they can work together and come with him to the present...even if her only priority is getting his time-magic and his words have no effect on him .
But Walter is much more successful against past!Daleth, professing his love for her and everything he likes about her, and waxing lyrical about how beautiful she is. Neither Daleth can fight back against that! Especially when past!Daleth sees how happy and kind her future self is . Daleth has every reason to want Sade dead. She's a terrible sister. But she's still Daleth's sister, despite everything, and however warped Daleth is one of the only people Sade has ever loved. So despite everything, she wants her sister saved, even if it means betraying her. So she's staying out of this fight . "You're worthy to be the heir" - is the Duke basically saying he's giving it up to Walter so he can be with Alice ? I KNEW Sade was eventually going to break through Zain's time-stops...and just in-time for Daleth to not help her so she has reason to lose it even more thinking she's been betrayed by someone she cares about . Cuff would be happy Zain didn't feel up another girls' boobs. Also is that flashback the first time we've seen Sade without her nun habit ? I imagine Flea had been waiting to punt Sade for a while . Flea gives the Duke a temporary barrier that lets him touch people...so of course Alice's first move is to make him finally cop a feel on her boobs :me:! Aw! Look at Daleth fussing over Alice protectively or Viola giving the Duke Walters' sword ! Welp, time for Team Two to go in! Cuff is more than motivated after seeing the state Zain is in, and she's so pure and sincere that she's the worst match against Sade! Though she also makes Sade rage even more when she's reminded of Victor . The Duke is as sincere and honest as his grandfather, and that's an incredible advantage against Sade. He can even make people who hate Sade and want her dead be willing to talk with and forgive her. But Daleth just cannot put her faith in anyone else, especially when she's still caught up in her grief over Victor. But if she really cursed the Duke so he could feel what she felt...maybe he is the only person who can save her .

Given how she mistreats her, I was genuinely surprised Sade counts Daleth as one of the only two person she ever loved (the other being Victor of course). I was convinced she thought of her as just a tool/slave.
Rather interesting that she doesn't get why she would curse the Duke.

Well, I finally caught up after bing watching this show in the last two weekends.
Really nice series, but I'm not a huge fan of forgiving and becoming friends with Sade after all the things she did to multiple people. At least we got some fighting before everything get solved by the power of friendship.

Sade's losing it! Living a life where she had to become so powerful to feel like she belonged, in a world where her own parents and everyone else shunned her, where the only person she thought she could believe in, her sister, ended up turning against her, in a world where the man she loved loved someone else...what is there left for her to still live for ?
Oh no, not Flea! He was the best little bro for Nico! And now Nico is out to kill, though it seems like that's ultimately what Sade wants at this point. She wants people to give in to their justified hatred against her and end her like the evil witch she acts like . But the Duke won't let Nico kill her, matching his death curse against Nico's immortality curse, and Sade finally sees in the Duke that he was as genuine as Victor, someone she could believe in and be friends with...it's just too bad her magic is so out of control that it's too late . From childhood Sade just wanted to impress her parents (a deer-faced dad and a witch ninja mom) and protect her sister, but when she gained her telepathy and grew stronger she became shunned and ostracized, and she could only take out those feelings through violence, killing her father and scarring her sister to make it so she wouldn't betray her like her parents did. But she's been trying to find that true companionship, that true feeling of someone who loves and cares about her without reservation, this whole time. The closest she came was Victor, but she never got a chance to confess her feelings. She couldn't turn Victor away from Liz, but she at least knew he would have accepted her feelings . The cavalry is here! Complete with Alice and the Duke's hat! And all that's left isn't to finish Sade off but to let Alice get into her head, see all of Sade's mixed emotions, and get to the bottom of it. Because Alice has nerves of steel from flirting with a man who can kill her with a touch, and she sees in Sade the same loneliness and isolation that afflicted the Duke. Because she WANTED the Duke to feel like she did because she was so desperate for companionship . And just like she was there for the Duke, Alice is there for Sade, to let her know that there are people willing to be friends with her, and accept her, and that rather than believing in a world where everyone will betray and shun her...she should believe in a world where they want to befriend her. Especially when even her own sister, despite everything, doesn't want Sade to die and just wants them to talk like sisters should . Oh snap! Sade woke up, apologized to Daleth, and fixed her face! And now she's tossing her nun habit and about to continue her redemption by fighting her own magic! This is epic !

I think the writer did a pretty good job with Sade. This episode gave us a deeper understanding of what she's gone through. And I like the parallel between her and the Duke, with Alice being the one to rescue them from complete isolation both times.

They added Sade without her nun habit to the OP! And she's a brand new woman, willing to apologize to Nico and fight against her own magic for the sake of her newfound ability to believe in people and acceptance that she, along with others, CAN be happy! She just has to wrestle with her magic for a little bit .
I love how Alice is like the only one happy about the black daggers raining down on them because the Duke is protecting her. And Zain arrives just in time to save Cuff, and the two are already all over each other! Walter is there too to insult the Duke and share a moment with Daleth to see her restored face, but he's just happy that she's happy . Didn't expect Sade's magic to be that...cute! But now she's got it back, is reunited with her sister, and she's ready to make amends, first by restoring Nico to his true age, so now he's age-appropriate with Oichi! I'm glad for them, and that Nico was able to make peace with Sade. Sade even managed to change the timeline so that all his friends she killed are alive ! Sade very well COULD change the timeline so the Duke was never cursed...but despite being cursed, the Duke lived a very fulfilling and happy life, and he wouldn't trade that for anything. Besides...it's done! THE DUKE'S CURSE HAS FINALLY BEEN LIFTED! HE AND ALICE CAN FINALLY HOLD EACH OTHER AND SHED TEARS OF JOY THAT THEY CAN FINALLY TOUCH AND FEEL ONE ANOTHER! IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL ! I did not expect Sade to be waiting for them back at the mansion like she's always lived there, ready for the Duke's celebratory curse breaking party (complete with a Viola hug and getting to shake Rob's hand) but I guess she's made a new life for herself in the time in-between when they last left her...and even had a surprisingly fulfilling love life to boot! She's even willing to take over as boss for Daleth, doing her sister a solid ! But there is one more thing left for Sade to resolve...seeing Victor and Liz again. And Sade gets to finally tell Victor her feelings while also making it clear that she's moved on and is happy for them, and she's quick to get out of there. I guess that's one way to resolve an unrequited first love. At least they're all happy. And Viola gets to meet her grandparents ! I was wondering why Walter was acting weird (even by his standards)but now he realizes he can't be the heir. Though I feel like things might work out for him anyhow, especially with Daleth by his side . Though there is one last conflict left to resolve...the Duke and Alice's relationship. As the presumptive heir, can Alice still be with the Duke? She doesn't think so, and thinks it's better for her to leave rather than continue to burden him with her presence and feelings...but this is the Duke we're talking about, he loves Alice more than anything and he'll chase her down on a train if he has to. Because they both love each other and for richer or poorer or no matter what befalls them in the future, they deserve to be together. And that's enough to make Alice agree to marry him. Finally ! You know it's the really REAL finale when they use the title of the show for the final episode !

I'm curious how Sade managed not to fuck up the timeline when she made a change as big as keeping Nico's friends alive, but it's probably best not to think too much when time travel is involved in anime. Besides, if anyone can pull that off, it's Sade.
The Duke and Alice finally touching was an emotional moment. The one we've been waiting for all those episodes. Quote:
I doubt Gerbera will have any objection to her son marrying her best friend's daughter. I can't even imagine her saying no. It's already a foregone conclusion they'll get married so I'm actually more curious how Walter x Daleth is going to work out, especially if Walter becomes the heir. But with only a single episode left, I'm not expecting any drama.
