Hasn't it been a recurring theme in the series that the MC's memory is all messed up?

Well that was an unexpected episode from what we last saw. Still pretty interesting. There is that link again to that music and Yuu. I'm really interested to know more about it and what she exactly meant by bargaining her eyesight.

Exactly. So what I'm thinking is it'd totally make sense that it's a flashback. I guess we'll have to see where it goes.

I am doubting it's a flashback, like it's not impossible for them to be all captured at once ( entire capture scene of all of them could be don in 30 seconds or less ).

Remember that we still don't know who blonde girl is who was at the scene where imuoto died, and that we had two Government agents coming after MC sometime after she died.

It all points toward further development, probably the guy who is protecting them all is not able to do it anymore and scientists take their part of the cake immediately. Or they made some discovery abotu their powers that proven even to him that they need to be more controlled so he couldn't do anything about it.

Anyway, episode is tomorrow so we will know shortly.

Nao looked adorable this episode

Kinda expected that we were getting music again. I thought the episode felt a bit experimental though...

Nope, not at all, only at beggining. Later it changes.
On another note I see this as pretty good episode. At least we foind what is name of Yuu brother and Kumagami. And also Yuu brother ability.

It seems that the Otosaka family has a knack for picking up OP powers.

This episode still feels so so rushed, imho. They could have extended 1-6 into 12 episodes, 6-8 in 6 episodes way into S2 territory. Of course, unless there's an After Story to this after story?

Yuu's big bro is time leap.

I bet he wont be able to top Touman's battle against othinus.

Next episode seems to be the story of Yuu's brother's time leap and changing of the world.

I really like this episode, it was enjoyable as hell. Finally we can see how everything fits, interesting how everything changed thanks to Yuu's brother and how his memories were "deleted".

Seems like Yuu really loves the worst girl Nao and he became jealous when she was talking with his brother.

DAMN!! THE REVEALS.
Was a pretty intense episode, even though I'm familiar with time leap series/twists, it still made me excited.

I'm eh about him going back and saving Ayumi though...but I guess they have to.
When will we get another AIR

So time travel huh. Since he's blind which is probably due to his power's "incompleteness" like how most powers we saw are kind of incomplete or whacky besides Yuu. His true power was also hinted back in the baseball episode and Nao probably knows about it from Yuu's brother. Still kind of funny that Yuu never once took over the student council members even once without them knowing besides that one time.

Still wondering why did they have his memories erased though and it's weird how the others remember themselves in another timeline. Lastly, casual Nao is cute.

i will say something is fishy here and follow the rule if a disappeared family member suddendly return he will be the evil guy

I also feel that the big bro is the real villain now. Something change him and even Yu felt it.

I don't think Nao knows Yuu's real power. She said she is just testing something. Maybe she felt that their is more to it but she doesn't know the real deal.

I'm more interested on what Yu's bro ask Nao to do.

I think its about the video. Yu's bro is probably the one gave it to her to record the esper kids.

He is probably collecting them now.

The feeling I get is he is now the scientist that studies them.

Because seriously, if he can just go back in time, then save Nao's brother too.

Time leaping is hax ability and it can DO LOTS OF STUFF.

So leaving Nao's bro to that hospital felt off to me.

It felt more that Yu's bro is waiting for Ayumi's power to manifest and collect her but he is failing. One world to another.

This time around, he is setting up yuu to do so.

The OP part where the person strapped into a machine and the blood lookalike liquid. Hasn't shown up yet.

I don't trust Yu's big bro for now.

Wonder what Sala's power was that caused her to go blind using it. Since it seems going blind is the cost of some of the upper level OP powers.

Suddenly, I gained a lot of respect over Yuu in this episode. He looks cheeky and immature over early 8 episodes, but he actually did pretty well in the previous timeline
I won't comment much about the flashback scene.. it is just that I got a feel that the old classical-music-lover grandpa is going to appear once more in the future

So, I find a hard time to see Yuu's nii-san as Charlotte's Brosuke.. They probably bear similarities in forming a "supposed to be a better" world but nii-san looks more broken that Brosuke
Since Nao probably started to see nii-san as her real nii-san replacement, this is going to be tough if Yuu somehow tried to take different way from the Esper Organization
Esper guys probably wanted to conquer the world and Yuu would be the one who opposed it

Well, this episode left so many speculations but let's just ride the hype for now
yes.... it is the hype of Tomori's casual date attires and her ponytail.. I hope she would stay like that for a while

His ability has something to do with his eyes but he is blind now. So I think he can't use his ability.

Finally some proper answers about what's going and about setting in general, perfect timing too for the last 1/3 of the anime. Nao was great this time in her fangirl mode and so was Sala, gonna need the full version of Trigger.

Time Leap, Collapse and Plunder. Looks like the Otosaka siblings grabbed the best abilities.

I guess it shouldn't be too surprising that the way some of the public are treating the people with abilities. Episode got dark fast and it looks like there's quite a bit of drama that went down at that weird facility. Scary.. Really interesting to see some other abilities this episodes and imo, this was quite thrilling. One hell of a dream Yuu had. Also seems like Yuu has the power to use others' abilities? Spoiler: So, it seems that the world we're the show is in right now with Yuu, Nao, and everybody free is the world changed after Yuu's brother went back in time to change the world. (thus explaining the memory confusion about Yuu's family) Now Yuu remembers everything from the world before it was changed, and it's revealed that Yuu's brother is the one who's been protecting the espers. So much for the "he's suspicious, he might actually be evil" theory. Honestly, I'm glad the Charlotte world we've seen the past 8 episodes didn't turn out to be some Matrix fake world thing. I would have been disappointed if everything had just been in his head, and thus made utterly pointless. But how far back in time did Yuu's brother go? He looks just as old as he did in the old world, unless he just sends his consciouness bck in time, like Wolverine in X-Men Days of Future Past. On a side not, I'm curious where Nao would have been in the old world before the time leap. And this episode made it perfectly clear: Yuu has fallen hard for Nao. Next episode seems to be the story of Yuu's brother's time leap and changing of the world.
