Well, certain thing is acceptable in some countries while others are not.It depends on where you live i guess.Take for example, if you have an idol book that showacase a twelve year old in bikini or swimsuit, you will be accused of child pornography and a pedophile even if its just a drawing, i mean if you have this kind of thing somewhere outside japan. In japan they condone this kinda of thing at certain level but not really totally accepted by society as whole. It's a contemporay cultural thing. The way i see it they just wanted to showcase their "beautiful" youth.Theres no sexual undertone according to "them".Some of the models and even their parents even feel proud that their daughter is in the cover or pages of a magazine posing sexily in swimsuits.Yes even if it's a twelve year old...they feel its not a big issue to them.

As for kissing behind the knee thingy, i do find it is rather strange for my taste even for a japanese standard of what is normal, i believe.I'm sure if you go to any 2ch forums, they will have a mixed reaction to this. It's a good place for indication wheter this kind of thing is normal or not.

I absolutely love Haruka girly giggling at a sofa. She's really fall in love

LoL. yeah. I loved that part too. She is just as giddy as our main guy. That pulled me back to the ground and said " These are high schoolers ".

You know, it's a shame the actual content of this episode covers up the adorable beginning scene where we see Haruka jealous for the first time.

It's not as much as the content covering up the canon as much as it is the canon not being pronounced enough. Maybe if they did something like that a second time it would be much more pronounced and people would be talking about her being jealous. We forget it takes some sort of depth to actually become jealous. And it's not like she actually saw and heard them exchange more than a couple of sentences. I'm sure she didn't see -sensi or Kaoru messing with him
Spoiler for nothing:
All she heard was Kaorus voice and him spat something about love. But at that point she's just being insecure. Honestly.... my favorite part of that scene was Kaoru

EDIT : VLC died on me. I will edit more later. And I was ready to go 2-3 paragraphs too.

Did her being jealous actually push this episode into what it was? Was she just being loose while still maintaining her Hard-to-get routine just because she got jealous and said in her mind " Oh heck no !!! I KNOW he ain't talking with them ". I do think that one moment spurred on this whole episode. As she let down some of her guard she found out she just happened to like him being all over her. Then she called Hibiki to ask if her liking him being all over her was Ok. Something reaffirmed by her being so ridiculously giddy.

"Yep. Your eyebrows are thinking perverted things"
Did she really care that he was being perverted. A little but not that much I don't think. The " How about you kiss me this time " thing. Was just his consolation prize. And he happened to exceed what she thought could happen which in turn. Put down some of her guard.

I think my 2nd and 1st paragraph are backwards.

"Its not every day I get to be escorted by you."
There, she admits she been dragging him around like a defenseless lovestruck puppy. That says that she is not unaware of her actions in the first 2 episodes.

And now I stop my mindless analyzing. Its getting to the part that temporarily drops my IQ a few points.

In my english class I always used to think
" Sometimes , I think we put more thought into an authors words than the author him/her self "
And yet, I feel like I'm doing that now.

EDIT : More random spatting from me

"MOMMY!! NII-NII'S GONE CRAZY!!!!"
Also another important part. It says that they live with parents. Theres many ways this is important to their actions. I would just need to go through all 3 episode and I don't have that time right now.

The Hibiki and Haruka scene made me like Hibiki. There is sensitivity behind that angular face for sure!!

The 2nd half of the episode was the product of what I just stated.

God thats why I love this forum. 15 or so different people analyzing the heck out of something.

If you think about it, the back of the knee is a really good choice. If he went for the neck (I would) there's a chance of being refused, so lower down seems safer. On top of that, she can't see him doing it; making her feel it more. Then there's the view you get from that position...

Somehow, I don't think "Jealousy" should have been this episode's title. What turns out to be more significant is what happens afterwards. If there's any advancement in terms of character for Haruka in episode 3, it's when she voices out her concerns to Hibiki while chatting on the phone.

On the other hand, I find the choice in episode title to be a smart one, as it highlights what the result of this jealousy is from the standpoint of Haruka. This playful overturning of jealousy simply suits her character.

Still, I also thought of this as a weird episode. That whole scene in the shed raised my WTF meter up a bit, mainly because I didn't expect it at all.

Overall, it's an enjoyable episode.

Think of it this way, with an episode title like that, we had no idea we'd be getting an episode which such content. It's quite clever.

Man, I'm torn: the more screen time Hibiki gets, the more I wish she was one of the heroines. My problem? She's way too good for the male protagonist.

Yes, like I said, I think the episode plays with the notion of jealousy in how it affects Haruka.

...And I agree with this as well!

Hibiki seems to be a fairly, well-rounded character. She seems to be the most mature out of the bunch, which I find appealing.

I will agreed with you on this one for sure! +1 for that!

Yeah that was the most epic from Miya so far other than her hosing with water her brother in the last episode.

Episode 3 was epic win, but I really have to wonder if they can come up with something to top all that. (And no, I'm not fishing for spoilers from the game).
Perhaps this might impress you in art style=>

I'm always amazed at how popular side characters turn out to be in this type of shows (and source material). It just goes to show the quality of each girl, and how they all differ from one another, because there's a type for everyone.

I too noticed the point were Kaoru Tanamachi put her arms around his neck. I doubt Morishima-senpai saw it though. I really enjoy how those two childhood friends have such a close relationship. It is almost too bad that non-erotic closeness has to be sacrificed for a romantic development. I think there are a lot of male-female friends pairs that just stay that way rather than risking to change it. But we can talk about that in the appropriate arc, I suppose. I look forward to it.

It is indeed important to notice that the Tachibana siblings live with at least one parent. That casts Miya in a different light. If she is just looking for human contact, you'd think she would hang out more with her mother. Especially in Japan, where gender roles are still more dominant, you'd think mother and daughter would have more in common than brother and sister. Of course, she may be going through a rebellious age or something. And we don't really know what kind of person their mother is. But at least the two teens are not orphans.

It's a good thing Hibiki is a true friend because Haruka's innocence/obliviousness is a bit extreme to the point she can be easily manipulated or taken advantage of. >_>;

Episode 3 sure got the heart thumping.
