Wings of Liberty had nearly 30 missions, but a lot of them weren't tied into the main plot progression.
Heart of the Swarm had 20 missions or so, as well as 7 mini missions for upgrades. The bulk of LotV's campaign is only 19 missions, but there's also the 3 epilogue missions. So content-wise, LotV is arguably the shortest, but delivers probably the most challenge. |

Didn't really mind the length. If I almost play through something in one sitting, that just means it was that good. There are also new co-op game modes and apparently some DLC next year. I'm pretty happy with this expansion so far.

In the end I'm pretty happy with how things went overall here. Some expected developments, some surprises, and have to say I enjoyed the ability to customize with basically every mission. Kind of nice you weren't really locked in with the Protoss, but could be really flexible and try different setups.
Spoiler for Story and Ending:
In the end, I'm happy with it. SC2 has been quite the adventure over these years and the 3 campaigns. May go through it on a brutal run sometime just to get that story again, but I'm pretty happy with it.

The Co-OP is surprisingly fun so far. I played a few games yesterday and some of the campaign units gave me some nostalgia from days of Brood War (medivac, Golaith, etc). Still haven't tried Archon Mode yet but from what I've seen from Blizzcon, it also looks exciting and adds a new element to multiplayer.
As regarding the story, I have some mixed thoughts about it mainly the latter half and story about Kerrigan. Some of the cinematic are really neat though and I think Blizzard did a terrific job making those. Some of the early cinematic really surprised me, I didn't expect it to happen so soon to Spoiler:

Okay, so they're selling LOTV for 19.99 so I figured I might as well take a look in a casual manner. Single player in WoL seemed interesting and this as well. I also noted that non-LOTV players can party up with LOTV players and play LOTV which is kinda cool since I have friends that aren't going to play on their own anyways or buy the expansion.
Haven't played in 5 years so some things were a surprise. I also find it a bit disturbing that there doesn't seem to be much up to date strategy info. It's like liquipedia was frozen in time. Ded game? Some notes: "Whispers of Oblivion" The hell, this is hard as shit.I was thinking the first missions would be easy but I guess this is optional? Granted I played on brutal because lolachievements but seemed harder than most WoL missions on brutal. Still that just seemed rather frustrating. Mission 1 I had to reload quite a few times and then I finished it with 2 colossi and a few dark templar left. The second mission was annoying too because there's no gas but I eventually discovered what tempests were. Basically use spare minerals into zealots but only use them for destroying bases, killing stalkers and picking up gas, because colossi will evaporate all of them. Why is Kerrigan such a dick? I thought they turned her good and shit. (I didn't play HOTS). She's also just like kill kill kill mobeius now, lol. I mean I know she has many reasons to hate Duran. Thought Narud was hillarious. Apparently that's the best subterfuge an advanced ancient race knows of. Why don't I get to play as Zeratul yet? I liked those ridiculous abilities they gave him. Why are the campaigns (not just LOTV) so stingy on minerals? I guess they don't want you to just go to 200/200 and sit there but it does make things a bit more annoying to manage.

>.> Making past the LOTV campaign at a pretty slow rate. Maybe I can't use Protoss or something. The worst one was probably "Forbidden Weapon" and "Sky Shield" that have such a fast time limit. In the end, I had to go to the archives and get more solarite on hard.
Took a break from it from the large part and started redoing the Wings of Liberty campaign. Figure I'd put my new computer to use and add some content or whatever, maybe if someone wants to see me play a certain mission. Somehow I think I'll finish the WoL campaign again before the LOTV one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf97...phcJue0jtAX_q5 (Edit: Made it into a playlist to make it easier to update) ^ Yes in Smash and Grab, in the last video, I lose my base to like 4 units when i didn't have to. But whatever, didn't need it anymore. And yea, co-op missions seem like a lot of fun potentially.
