Unlike everyone else i'm not easily impressed by fanservice (i'm fine with it and all) but if I wanted to see a woman taking a bath I'd rather do it in the real world than some drawing.

Also i'm not one of the people that only care about Erina (I barely care about her at all but do agree that this is the worst way to develop her) because she is drawn like a Hentai character (which seems to be the consesus if you read the last few pages on this thread) and i'll say it again, this arc is just forced bs to make readers like her.

Yes it is a heartwarming but then again while looking at that scene a thought entered my mind that kind of tainted it. It sort of looks like the PSD residents are taking advantage to get her and her God's tongue's opinion on their cuisine. I dunno but that thought just pop in my head

How is it forced? Cuz they really need readers to like the 2nd most popular character, behind the MC, right? Aren't u projecting, just cuz ure not a fan.

Anyhow, some cool things this chap. 2 really important moments tho- Erina sees some resemblance between Souma and his dad. And that ending... I'm guessing the plan is to have Erina taste dishes made by students and the ones she doesn't like are expelled.

IT goes all the way to how it impacts the person, someone could have gone through a situation that you might think it nothing but for them it really affected deep inside them.
Applying your reasoning to the reasoning of a character is not going to work since you know what the author wants for them, that includes what causes them trauma, along other things.

@Ninjastarforcex: But it's definitely reasonable given what we've seen of her dad so far. And even the guys at the Polar Star Dorm agree that no parent should do the things to their children that Azami did to Erina.

Anyway, I liked this chapter and am looking forward to the next one. Now I'll copy-paste what I said on another site:

What I'm worried about is Azami letting her stay at the Polar Star Dorm for now and taking her back later. It doesn't matter to him at all that she's not at home at the moment. And then there's also Azami's plans for Tootsuki's education system and what Hisako said about Erina being the "key" in his plans. He needs her back, but for some reason he isn't in any rush to get her back.

@ninja, guess now I can understan from your reasoning in which point someone is actually suffering, guess 60% of the people in the world and things that might make them suffer is just plain BS to you.

@Dragon, her being the one representative/being at the top of her generation might have something to do, but knowing Asami and the little he cares for the rest of the students, who knows, he might go for something different.

Erina is different.... because people are different. Some people are more vulnerable towards certain forms of abuse.

You can't quantify abuse and then pick and choose "who has suffered more", its a rather silly and prejudiced thing to do, because suffering is a subjective thing after all.
