well one thing I wonder over, was Erina irritated overr that her friend was on such good terms with Souma or was she jealous that he seemed quite close to her, with how she's acting is a little hard to guess, but with how she talked about it, it sounded to me like it was jealousy but can't be sure considering her personality.

This was amazing! Erina-cchi!

It's great seeing Erina able to unwind a bit and get closer to other people. She looked so happy. Also, great props for PSD team for welcoming her with open arms.

I loved the part when she totally dissected Daigo's dish, and everyone was like "taste mine next!". Hilarious stuff.

And man, Erina really is starting to see Souma in different light.

I wonder what Azami plan is. He let's Erina does as she pleases, but apparently she's the key to his plan. And it seems his plan will be controversial to say the least.

Well, she's starting to see Souma in a different light, but at this point it's still not enough. Right now, all we've got is her seeing some similarities between Souma and Jouichirou.

I was just poking fun at the wording in your original post since it sort of implied if they upped the fanservice you would be completely fine with it.

While I don't mind fanservice it's not my main concern or driving force to change my stance on a character and the development they are given or main reason to read a story, if it read like that than it's because the one reading it wants to interpret it that way.

This chapter is basically a summary of what Komi wants to do with this arc, introduce bs plot so that the readers feels pity for Erina and accept her, then Komi will tell us that she has changed while she keeps acting the same way but don't worry she will show some skin and/or make a "cute" face so everything she does is just a little joke so she can be forgiven for it while hiding the plot point of Souma saving her by using PSD as a cover (I mean the other 3 were even sidelined after all that talk about running away together last chapter, kinda obvious), meanwhile Chef Voldemort is planning something that will make him look like even more of an a-hole (if that is possible).

So many other (better) ways to develop her and this is what we get, had her development been different I would have liked Erina but sadly all this is doing is making me not care about her or her family of idiots (seriously who gives students that much power and basically sets themselves up for failure?).

No I'm not disputing that their past was pitiful but their current predicament isn't pitiful at all where as Erina is still haunted by her father.

You clearly have been in this site long enough have you? Unless you state your stance clearly someone is going to flip it on you at some point and that's annoying to see.

As for Azami's plan, this is the son in law of the man that gave students absolute power over the school, it's budget and faculty, so of course it's going to be something amazingly idiotic.

I did not enjoy this chapter as much as I would have expected. The scenes with Erina and the PSD residents were slightly fine but it didn't really give me a heartwarming sensation or anything. Erina refusing to eat Souma cooking was a bit irritating imho. Honestly the scene between Hisako and Souma was the only highlight in the chapter for me

I have to agree on the comment about the author heavily promoting Rindou. He's laying it thick with the illustrations of her. Even when she's not relevant in the chapter the author will find a way to insert her character. I'm guessing she's as popular in Japan as she is with his Western audience?

She probably knows he lived in Polar Star and is now currently Soma's room.

She's the 2nd most popular female in SnS and HUGE in Akihabara (where most of the anime/manga sales come from) so yea you could say that.

I live in japan and visit akihabara regularly and while megumi was the 2nd best girl in the last poll (can't always go by polls for popularity) she's not anymore. when you visit the area that does the most manga sales you can get an idea of what's big and after rindou blew up her posters have pretty much replaced all the magumi stuff). Erina/Rindou/Soma merchandise is the new trend in japan right now.

To be honest it wouldn't shock me if rindou actually pulled ahead over erina in the long run (given proper character development) and no im not rindou x soma shipper, im just telling you how it is in japan.
