FYI official translation of volume 10 is out. It's one of my favourite volumes.

While a number of things are similar to the WN it's woven together in a different way and develops nicely.

I've put a translation up at the usual place.

Looks like the start of a mini-arc focusing on how the reincarnators in general respond to the situation.

Is there anything they can do? Well, killing the pope would help Shiro and killing the Demon King would demotivate her. Though I'm not sure if the reincarnators would know either of those.

Edit: Another chapter is out. This time Ariel's POV. She gets report from Felmina-chan (about Gyurie's attack on Shiro) and orders Ael to kill the pope. Next step is to gather all those with Ruler skills... but unfortunately Shiro left Shun with the pope.

Given Shiro's hacking of the System, I'd thought the only Ruler authority that mattered now was Dustin's. Anyway, we shall see.

I wonder how they will get through all of Shiro's spiders.Are there enough dragons to help out? I think there were only a few hundreds.

Shiro's babies should have the terrain advantage, for the most part. I think they have the Cooperation skill too. And the dragons wouldn't be able to get too violent unless they want to risk collapsing the place. There's also all of Shiro's clones hacking the giant magic diagram where Sariel is.

I honestly had given up on the wn with how different the ln now but just by reading the few updates, I feel that the author tried to use his idea in the latest updates for wn. Like the humanize ancient dragons. That darkness dragon. I just read her/his name in the latest english publish book. The one that guard the sword that was lost

I wonder what happened to that sword. It was used previously to attack D but that is all I know if it.

Yeah the LN version has some interesting new ideas. Though strictly speaking the ability of dragons to humanise first came up in the WN - way back in chapter "270" (432th release in absolute terms). Though they weren't introduced as characters back then, it was just mentioned in passing.

Once the sword is used it takes a long time to regenerate it seems, so probably won't turn up in the LN again.

PS I wonder who the next POV character will be. Maybe Sophia? It would be interesting to see her react to the situation where now the pope must be killed. It was implied long ago that she had some kind of secret deal with the guy. Will we finally find out what that is?

I remember the part where guriguri has army of human form dragon as the 9th army. But they are just mentioned and never expanded in wn.

As for sophia.... I had mixed feelings. The sophia in ln and wn are so different to me.

POV is Kunihiko this time, Asaka's boyfriend. I'd guess those two got POVs because they're the only two amongst the "normal" reincarnators in the elf village who have some strength - ie can do something.
