Yup, this time it's gonna be hard fight for Rio, not like WN that felt quick and empty.

It seems we can consider confirmed that Rio will appear before Lucius without wearing the magic tool like in the WN, now I'm even more impatient for seeing Cristina's Flora's reaction.

I can finally celebrate that I was right about Aisia being the normal cover If not Cristina and or Flora again.

It might just be me, but the way the cover is depicted makes me feel that this is some sort of salvation for Rio so that he can leave Lucius behind to head toward a new and better future, and Aishia will be central to that.

In volume 6 there wasn't really any interaction between them in fact the volume ends precisely before the conversation begins, in the other volumes Rio and Hugenot were never alone, so their interaction besides being short always had Hugenot completely in a second plane.

Volume 6: Here there wasn't really any conversation between Rio and anyone of Lizelotte's group, Rio was flying back to Amande while carrying Celia and with Aisia by his side, Aisia says she feels the presence of a lot of demons, they enhance their vision with spirit arts and watch the battle for some minutes, Celia recognizes Aria since the distance and Rio admires her way of fighting.

With the arrival of next wave of demons Rio finally decides to help because he thinks that with the new opponents it will be hard to protect all the group for the people that is alredy fighting, he jumps in because he can't stand anymore Celia's face worrying for her friend and to to make Lizelotte own him a favor and that way being able of drawing from her information about Galarc's hero. The volume ends when Rio defeated the last monster, he says to everyone his name is Haruto and everyone says their names too to Rio.

Volume 7: Flora is always watching Rio's face because she thinks she saw his face already somewhere, but Rio denies it, here after seeing Rio's good manners and speech everyone thinks he may be some fallen noble of a noble hiding his identity for his own circunstances so they don't pry into it further by the moment, after picking up the monsters' magic stones and repairing Lizelotte's carriage so it can arrive until Amande that's already near averyone rides on it.

Rio sits between Flora and Lizelotte and Hiroaki between Roana and Hugenot, here everyone try to know a little more about Rio again and asking what can be a good reward for his help, bit Hiroaki just keeps trying to make Rio's merits less that what they're because he doesn't want anyone other than him to call the others attention, what exasperates Lizelotte and Hugenot that think that they will have to prepare some place without Hiroaki in order to have a proper talk with Rio.

When they arrive to Amande Lizelotte makes Aria guide Rio to her best hotel and give him the room he chooses, after that he brings Celia and Aisia to the hotel with him, that evening while they're having dinner Alphonse and Stead invade the room of the restaurant the three were using, drunken and accompannied by prostitutes, they get mad because Aisia and Celia ignored them and attacked Rio covering them, Rio puts them in an armlock each and takes them to the guards.

Next morning Lizelotte visits Rio to apologize for what happened yesterday, her selfconfidence receives a little of damage watching Celia's and Aisia's beauty, after a little of conversation with just Rio she asks him to come to her house for talking with Hugenot that wants to apologize too and for having lunch in her house as an apology.

Rio and Lizelotte meet Hugenot, there Hugenot is waiting with a magic pledge prepared with the promise of not attacking him or the people with him again in which he offers to Rio a lot of advantageous conditions purposefully, as a sign of sincerity and to show him that he gives more importance to him than to Alphonse and Stead, he then brings Alphonse and Stead inside the room and forces them to make dogeza in front of Rio, after the apologies end they finally have lunch, there Rio takes the chance to ask about the heroes when the topic of the evening party comes out, then he is able of confirm that Galarc's hero is Satsuki and a rumor about Centostella's hero coming to the party too.

That afternoon, at the same time Rio is having lunch with Lizelotte's group, Alphonse and other twenty and a few more knights are looking for more demons inside the forest, there Lucius appears, defeats them, captures them and Reis turn them into monsters. The next morning Reis sends his demons to attack Amande and while all of Lizelotte's strong fighters are ocupied defending Amande's gates Reis release Alphonse and some more revenants inside Lizelotte's mansion for making them attack Bertram's group and to stop other people from pursuing him and Lucius after kidnapping Flora, Alphonse wants to slowly kill Hugenot for taking revenge for the humilliation yesterday but he and the other revenants run away from Hiroaki that went berserk after being left half unconscious by other monster's fist, just to be easily killed by Aisia after that.

Volume 8: Rio brings back Flora to the mansion after rescuing her from Lucius, a little after that Lizelotte gathers everyone in a room and asks them the things that happened to everyone, the Bertram group thanks Rio for saving Flora, Rio asks Hugenot with a poker face if the injuries that Alphonse made him before still hurt.

Rio explains to them that the man that kidnapped Flora was Lucius, the leader of the mercenary group "the heavenly lion" and a man named Reis, they wonder if the man named Reis was the diplomatic of the Proxia empire that was rumored to have a close relationship with Charles, they ask him why did he knew that Lucius was the man kidnapping Flora and Rio admits that he met him in the past, here everyone realized already that they were just about of stepping on a mine and didn't really want to asks but because they needed to know they threw with the gaze the role of asking the untactfull thing to Roana that wasn't really important for the conversation (Here I really pitied her for having this role pushed over her that way) while Flora that already knew the truth was looking at her with her gaze screaming "no, stop, don't ask that".

Rio says Lucius killed his mother in front of him when he was five years old and everyone's faces go blue, then they tell to Rio that Lucius was a candidate for the sword of the king in the past and that he was a fallen noble from Bertram kingdom, that he was someone with talent but houses of superior rank that didn't want him to take that post united and made his familly fall, the topic changes to a reward for Rio for his help until now, he says he doesn't anything from the Bertram group and for the time being they just ow him one, then he asks Lizelotte to set a meeting with Satsuki, Galarc's hero, he says to her that he can say the reason for this now, but in three weeks he will visit her again and then she will understand everything, two days later he leaves Amande and goes to the seirei village to pick up Miharu, Aki and Masato and to tell them he finally found Satsuki.

Volume 10: at the beginning ot the third day of the evening party, the nobles are going to where Rio is and giving their congratulations for getting his own title when Hugenot appears, he just says his congratulations to Rio while praising his achievements of protecting Amande, saving Flora, finding and helping Miharu and the assassins from last night, then he introduces two girls to Rio expecting them to be able of seducing him, two friends of Roana and Rio's former classmates and bullies.

Dorotea and Elise, that was the other girl in Rio's group in the field practice, the only one that saw Rio didn't push Stead against Flora but that lied afterwards due to fear to Stead and his family, we were explained too that she confessed to Rio, but because of all the bullying from her Rio didn't believe her words and just reacted making a cold face, she didn't like this and unjustifyingly angered started rumors about Rio seducing his girl kouhais along with the boys that were envious of the girls prefering Rio over them, all of this attentively watched by Flora that was more worried than Rio himself about her other former classmates finding out his real identity.

Volume 13: after capturing Charles and Alfred, a little of conversation between Kota and Rui and healing the wounded friends Rui orders the soldiers to retire and to open a path for Rio's group to go to the other side of the frontier, when they arrive to the fortress that marks the beginning of Galarc's territory they asks the soldiers to open the doors that were closed because the soldiers in the fortress were making battle preparations as a precaution against Bertram's army.

When the doors are opened they see there Lizelotte, Flora, Hiroaki, Roana and Hugenot, after Cristina and Flora hug each other for some time, they order some soldier to take Alfred and Charles to cells and they meet everyone in the same room for asking Rio and Cristina about the army that gathered near the border and why they were together in such a place.

Cristina explains to everyone that after the evening party she scaped the royal capital with the help of Celia's father and she was forced to hide in his secret basement because of Charles' forces following her until Creia, but there she met Rio that helped her to scape from Creia and scorted her until this place, Hiroaki asks why Rio knew about such place, Celia reveals the identity and says that because she guided Rio to that place, everyone is surprised of seeing Celia, Hiroaki asks what Roana and Flora meant by Celia-sensei because of how young she looks, they explain him, that Celia was their teacher at school and she is 21, Hiroaki screams, are you kidding me? She is older than me? That's real legal loli.

While all the non-japanese wonders what a legal loli is, Lizelotte is exasperated because Hiroaki's comment's that don't read the mood don't let the explanation advance and changes the topic, I was present as Celia's wedding too and saw the Kidnapping could it be?, while looking at Rio, Rio admits to be the kidnapper and then Cristina says the false story they prepared in advandce about Celia's kidnapping being something she ordered to not let the Arbor house get more influence and to make them lose power, then she talks a little about their travel and that the army was something prepared to find her and take her to the Bertram's capital, that there wasn't any intention of attacking the Galarc kingdom, lastly they explain that it was Rio alone who defeated Alfred and Rui in a 2 vs 1 to after that capturing Charles and repel the army of 5.000 just standing before them while letting out his bloodthrist, everyone is speechlees after hearing such a thing that is way above what their commons sense tells them that a human is capable off.

I was thinking if Duke Huguenot want Rio to work for him so bad, maybe his best bet is Latifa.

Latifa is his bastard child and she is quite close to Rio, he can use Latifa to make a connection with Rio.

You aren't mistaken, the reason number 1 why Rio wants to kill Lucius is to stop being trapped in the past where he couldn't do anything for helping his mother, that and to prove himself that he isn't running away anymore from his dark side that can't forgive him or forget what happened when child, the side of him that can't avoid to want to pay back when him or his dear ones are attacked.

The truth is a lot people use to misunderstand something about this novel, Rio's main target isn't to kill Lucius, what he really wanted was to confirm his death, if after coming back to Stralh he had found out Lucius was already death that was fine for Rio too, but if he wasn't death, if he ever appears before him he would kill him with his own hands.

Did they already witness Rio's true power?

Flora = When Rio fought Lucius (poor girl, she's really scared when Rio burn Lucius's hand to the ash)

Christina = Rio crushed Alfred and Rui + 5000 knights all by himself.

So again i don't think they will much surprised at Rio. The only things i think they may surprise is Rio finally admit to them that he is indeed Rio and he never hold a grudges against them, with this matter come clear between them, their relationship can finally start for real.

The Rio vs Lucius in the WN was already translated to english, it goes from the last part of cahapter 153 to 154 with the chaprter 155 being the after battle, you can try reading it if you want an apperitive of volume 14, the beginning of their fight was reused in the LN thought.

that cover is simply beautiful, I have no other words to describe it, it seems that it is going to be a complicated battle, clearly lucius is playing dirty, there is no possibility that lucius to be able to wound Rio in a fair fight, that lucius piece of shit took a hostage or ambush Rio or some other dirty shit.


I like the idea of Rio fighting with black hair, that just makes it very clear that the person who is fighting to the death is Rio and not Haruto, I hope Cristina and Flora see the final battle and also Rio with his black hair, they alredy know Rio = Haruto, but they have not seen him yet without that fake white hair.

Just after Celia expalins her identity to everyone and Cristina explains why she was travelling with Rio's group Hugenot praises Sara's group for defeating Alfred, even if it's that sword of the kings against several people with magic swords it's impossible to win, Sara denies it and says that the one that defeated Alfred and Rui was Rio alone, Hugenot asks Rio, did you really fought against the sword of the king and the hero, Cristina confirms that Rio won against them on a 2 vs 1 and Hugenot lose the words, Sara says that was Rio too the one that repelled the army of 5.000.

Lizelotte begins to say masaka (it can't be) but she stops in the ma (it seems in her head alredy everything is possible no matter the absurd if Rio does it), everyone is even more speechless, Hiroaki asks for more details of the Rio vs 5.000 and Cristina explains that they didn't dare to attack Rio, that watching the previous battle they understood by instint that winning was impossible, Hiroaki doesn't believe and asks why the commander didn't order the soldiers to gang on Rio even of some die, that he would have done so, Cristina says that there isn't really any soldier that would attack knowing that he would die for sure except for the crazy ones, that she knows her story is absurd and she doesn't expect anyone non present there to understand it, it's the kind of thing that you understand only if you're able of see it.

They warp everything up with this and from here come the things I already told in my summary of Rio vs Hiroaki.

The timelime in the WN and LN are different til the point that is useless to compare since the fist night Miharu stayed in the rock house.

In my personal opinion I think in the LN there won't be poisoning because Rio left behind the rock house for Miharu and the others to stay near Rodania in case Celia needs something from them, so because there isn't where to do the nursing I think there won't poisoning, who knows, maybe instead of Rio healing the sisters we will have the sisters helping Rio with their healing magic after the battle with Lucius.

In my personal opinion I think in the LN there won't be poisoning because Rio left behind the rock house for Miharu and the others to stay near Rodania in case Celia needs something from them, so because there isn't where to do the nursing I think there won't poisoning, who knows, maybe instead of Rio healing the sisters we will have the sisters helping Rio with their healing magic after the battle with Lucius.

i think the poisoning is a really good part, it would be a unfortunate to cut it out, i think that the part where Flora begins to open to Rio, those girls and Rio needs to spend more time together so they can be Friends.

But Flora and Cristina healing Rio sounds really good too

i think he did get another house from the dwarfs when he went back to spirit village when he brought the spirit girls and the trio from earth back to Celia. Alma's grandfather said they made a few cause they thought it was interesting or something along those lines. So he has at least two of them in his bracelet
