As for episode 8, wow, a lot of intense stuff happened. Chisato is essentially eliminated from the romance because Yuuki outright rejected her, stating that he does not love her in a romantic way. She is now friend-zoned, or more accurately, probably sister-zoned. Wow, was I wrong with that. Relentlessflame is always right when it comes to this. This was such a touching episode, that I had tears in my eyes at the end. I really do feel for Hazuki, and it hit me right away a few seconds before she confessed why. She is in the right when she states that Satsuki is not to blame. Ah, Satsuki. You've essentially jumped to the front in this episode. She indirectly confessed to Yuuki, and Yuuki did not deny her either. I still think he is indecisive at this point, but I'm sure he has real romantic interest in Satsuki. I still find it hard for them to be in a relationship during the elections, but post-elections, things could heat up. As for Michiru, she essentially saw everything because she was in the rooftop. Her mystery should be coming up, hopefully, and I'm guessing it has to do with hospital girl, considering this late in the series. As for how the current president's aides found out Yuuki was the mysterious "pervert", it seems like Yuuki is being closely watched by spies. Great stuff. I can't wait for next week's episode.

Edit: I have a second theory that's a bit more "sinister". The PSP game is really marketing Satsuki heavily. It's good marketing to advertise the heroine that "loses", because people want to buy the game to see what happened to the other heroines. But that's just me being cynical...

I have no idea how to predict the route of this.
The Chisato scene isn't really a negative or a positive flag for her (could go either way). Lots of Satsuki focus. Maybe it really will be made into a love triangle. Seems like the anime is trying to make it general enough to make it unpredictable without it feeling forced whatever route they do eventually choose.

However, it is true that they have not resolved the whole chocolate issue, which will be front and center concerning Chisato. If any possible way to savage the relationship is made, it will probably be during that crisis. As it stands, Yuuki has shown attraction in a romantic way to only 2 girls: Satsuki and Isara. Isara has remained relatively a side-story character, so unless her bullying issue creates a huge flag, I don't see much hope for her either. Quote:

Cant watch 8 episode since there are no subtitles, but...
In love triangle anime rejecting girl this early in show not necessary means that there are no romantic feelings to her. There still two options: - he dont know and dont understand his own feelings, because they were friends for long time. Case in most anime with winning childhood friend; - he is lying. I didnt played game and whats im writing is only my speculations... But none sane, stright guy would not react when beautiful, naked girl make moves on him... Having or not romantic feelings for her doesnt matter... Im not talking here about have sex with her, but blushing and thinking about it is normal reaction. But he is still like stone. Its not normal. Its big hint that there is sth big here...There are only two solutions: - he is gay - there is strong barier he created. Its probably connected with their past, chocolate thing and that young boy from picture. He just simple throw away from his mind any possibilities for them to be couple and strongly reject his own feelings for her because of past traumatic events. Its not hard to speculate what could be reason. Anyway we will know answer in the end of story. There are too much hints regarding their childhood flashbacks, opening, their interactions that there is nothing here...

I'd say that it may be indeed going the
Spoiler for The other Anime:
It's really, really late in the game, with (four?) Episodes left, and somehow, I think Chocolate is leaning towards Satsuki. Of course, it could ALSO be an inconclusive ending- infact, I'd consider it for the best, if it leaves them time to touch on the Election Plot well enough in the last four episodes. A romantic climax and a climax to the Election plot, I fear, may result in a trainwreck. I do think we might soon see indications as to whether this is an inconclusive end (if the show does not focus on any one girl, still) , or whose route it is (the girl who gets the most focus in the last four episodes). Of course, I could also be pleasantly surprised, and by some miracle, the adapters manage to juggle Election, all Four girls, and swing to a certain girl by the last two episodes or so, without it becoming a painful trainwreck. Just throwing up some scenarios here, but one of Chocolate's big problems here is that it's committing relatively late to a route, and at the rate it's going, not at all. Spoiler for Comparisons to the Other Anime, and that Other Anime:

Now, by the same token, Satsuki has made her advances very clear at this point, and he's obviously attracted to her too. But while she's made it clear she chooses him, he hasn't really returned her advances yet either. I think the issue is basically Yuuki having to be forced to choose, and either way he's going to have to work things out with Chisato. The whole thing is heading to a crisis point. My honest opinion at this point is that I can see how they could develop things either way right now. If he chooses Satsuki, then he has to help Chisato make the transition and understand that he'll always be there for her, but can't be her lover (as alluded to already in Episode 8). But if he decides that Chisato's actually the one he loves, then they have some issues to work out, and he just has to reject Satsuki's feelings (basically, to place her clearly in the friendzone). Either way, the key is him coming to a realization of who he wants to be with romantically going forward. I do think, right now, we can argue that he's attracted to both. (There is one more argument I could put forward slightly in Satsuki's favour. I think the reason he specifically brought up the topic of love with Chisato in episode 8 is precisely because it's a point that's been thrown on the table in his discussions with Satsuki. So that implies that he really is thinking about love to some degree. His "begrudged" acceptance of Satsuki's "Option #2" last episode could also be taken that way. The whole show so far has been tracking his slow but steady journey of getting closer and closer to Satsuki to the point where now she's basically confessed to him. So really, the only thing that would stop him is if he chooses Chisato over her. But the problem is then that Satsuki's journey sort of reaches a dead-end, so there'd need to be some sort of resolution on that front as well.)

Spoiler for Long:
Agreed... Looking back at the scene with Yuuki's love confession, I think the directing of the scene made it seem less then fully sincere the fact that his eyes are blocked out when he says it indicates that either he is not entirely sure about his feelings or that he is reinforcing this "barrier" between them again after all the hints that Chisato is throwing at him, the fact that he knows she is in love with him speaks volumes of the fact he is thinking about his relationship with Chisato. Also the fact that this scene is juxtaposed with Hazuki's confession where romantic love is mentioned again leaves me to think Chisato is still in this. Mifuyu still has a chance... And yes Hazuki is extremely likable.... I mean I would love to play that route. One of the things that influences me to want to see Chisato wins is probably how she gets treated by Yuuki after he picks someone else to she their friendship kind of "break" or change to make way for a new relationship is quite saddening in, so post heartbreak is important for harem situations IMO.

I had totally forgotten that in scene that yes, Yuuki is still a man, after seeing Chisato in the bath. It is strange so far how we do get to hear what his thoughts are whenever he meets up with Isara and Satsuki, since he always makes those comments. However, whenever Chisato is involved, we never hear what his thoughts are. He does have to help her eventually, with both the chocolate and possibly if he chooses another girl. The one hint about Chisato that could throw things against her is her jealousy. Whenever she perceives Yuuki with someone else, she always gets jealous and tries to interfere or nag about it. From my experience in anime, the girl that does that usually does not end up with MC in the end. If it was a real life situation, the guy usually gets annoyed and tired of it.
