_All_ of the main characters are lovable
Normally I genuinely hate the Chiho template, but she's not a mere big-chested moeblob, she's got spunk and follows through. She has a simple honesty that I find very appealing. Nevertheless, I'd certainly vote for Emi as the better romantic match. Why? Her linkup with Maou would be a continuous tempest of tension and fireworks. That's what I want to see ... I really like her ability to reflect on reality and grapple with strong convictions she held from ages ago, and the intensity with which she goes through life. Seeing her core of beliefs gradually shift and evolve is going to be reaaaally fun. And I'm already looking forward to the first time she realizes that she might actually _like_ Maou. |

Looking forward to Emi's 2 allies:
Azumi Asakura as Emerada Etūva Hiroki Yasumoto as Albert Ende From ep1 I thought the green haired mage (guessing) had a strange/familiar voice, maybe the Enta Isla language made it funny. Turns out Emerada's seiyuu also voiced Kumin-senpai of Chuunibyou. http://www.animecharactersdatabase.c...r.php?id=61723 Also nice grandpa voice for Albert. He's nearly 70. |

This anime actually is pretty interesting... light, but nonetheless interesting, a lot of thought and work has been put into these first episodes and it shows.
As for the dilemma, definitely Emi... but unfortunately I know very well why Shiho wins oversees

Got into this when a coworker mentioned it as something he thought I might like. Have to say I quite do thus far with the premise and all.
Regarding the shipping, I'm in a rare instance where I don't really favor one over the other. Normally I'd probably gravitate to Emi given the history and such, but there is something I quite like about Chiho for some reason. I have to ask, has this been a decent adaptation? I found myself wondering if the source material perhaps went a bit slower with the start, perhaps showing how he got the job and everything. Then again, I just find myself wanting to know more about those early days since everyone seems to adjust quite quickly.
