I wonder what happens when characters are aware of Magane's power. If you know what she can do you no longer believe the things she says are lies. The verbal trickery involved could get complex and interesting in the hands of a good writer.
I hope Souta keeping a massive secret doesn't become a long lasting thing. |

I'd say that the secret will be revealed after all characters are properly introduced and choose who to side with...so maybe in one or two episodes, depending on what'll happen. Also, chances are Souta is going to act on his own, and possibly run into MUP ![]()

Well, those who crave for action definitely get what they want this episode. I personally happy about a dynamic between character interaction and shifting in allegiance. I'm glad the team isn't set in stone.
About Souta keeping secret, I can still forgive him at this point. He just recently discover it and in middle of researching it when Selesia barged in. He might want to see if he can find out anything else and collect his thought before telling others.

I must say, despite Magane being evil, she's quite the "fun evil" kind of character. Well, not for that poor shop owner, though. But her dialogue is excellent and I like the character design.
Meteora's still best girl, though. ![]() Anyway, good episode. Maybe people now can shut up about there being too little action. ![]() Oh, yeah, and they got the German pronounciations right, which has to be a first in anime history. ![]() Quote:

Maybe it is just me being used to Maaya Sakamoto playing tomboys but has she ever been this girly? It's like she is of the Eternal 17 club.
Episode starts where we left off. Sota shocked that MUP is Setsuna Dashiki's creation. Selesia visits but fortunately doesn't break the window. Selesia came to exchange phone numbers with her fancy new smart phone the government issued to her. Definitely has tracking software if you ask me. Sota doesn't reveal what he discovered to Selesia. Meanwhile we have scene of Alisteria being homeless under a bridge with Mamika commenting a girl shouldn't out alone at night. Alisteria comments on Mamika being a hero/ally of justice based on her ideals. Hoping the Creations that come over are good persons. And we have out first chaotic evil villain. She kills that poor manga store owner. Which bring the government an their new Creation agents to the scene. Rui however goes flirting with middle school girls banking on a date hoping chicks dig giant robots. Of course his movements is monitored by the government. Rui is probably the last person the government wants on the field as his special power is a giant robot. Thus we have our first encounter between the villain and Team MUP in the pair of Alisteria. This school girl is the type of villain that is manipulative with words. Ecstatic that they call this world that looks like Japan the home of the gods. Alisteria doesn't like her as she smells of blood and is instinctively a villain. Mamika tries to deescalate but Alisteria doesn't listen. She would've died probably if not for Selesia. While Selesia agrees this a villain she reasons they should not cause trouble and it isn't Alisteria's place to lay judgement. No extra judicial killing. Hero Civil War people! Mamika goes they shouldn't fight. Meteora explains while she agrees however MUP must be stopped. And yes Mamika s starting to have doubts about MUP but she doesn't know yet what is right. Selesia in her banter with Alisteria mentioned MUP is potentially a bigger villain than the one behind them. As Meteora explained changing the worlds is not as easy as Aisteria thinks and the Creators are not gods who are omnipotent. Alisteria is too stubborn to believe them. Selesia and Meteora end up fighting her when she attacks. This is when Blitz comes along goading Mamika to end the fight with her power. Mamika is more aware of the damage her power does and wont fight. Blitz takes it up to himself to support Alisteria and almost kills Meteora. He is only stopped by Mamika with her power as she found her resolve to prevent bloodshed. All the while the villainous schoolgirl enjoys the show. |

That new girl gives me the creeps. She talks more than I had expected though but has a very sinister personality based on a brief glimpse of her powers. I wonder which side she plans to fight on though. To me, it feels like she's on her own side.
Mamika's role in this struggle seems to be that she wants all the fighting to end so I expect her to side with whichever side with the least amount of bloodshed. Poor Selestia, I feel like she's the weakest out of all those characters out there right now. Nice to see Blitz in action, he's more tougher than I had expected.

With regards to Selesia, it does seem she is currently the weakest, but remember that her mecha was disintigrated in episode 1 by the MUP.
Hmm ... I wonder if she would be able to get such a thing back? If, as the theory posited above about the research into Rui's mecha were to yield the desired results into unravelling a bit of the fabric in the world everyone was drawn into then I guess giving Selesia back her mecha could be a possibility. Assuming she can create (or restore?) things, though - the MUP may only be able to destroy things? Just musing aloud here....

They already started looking into how to give Selesia a power-up through her Creator's drawings, so there's no doubt it will come eventually. They're clearly just saving it for a better-timed and more dramatic moment.

I need a full Blitz vs Yuya showdown after seeing that gravity bullet Alice is a monster, that attack is too OP Not sure who my best girl is after this , I love the girls who can have a logical discussion like Meteora but a chick like Magane who is a straight up sophist and argues for nothing gets me going because im the same for certain things IRL |

Thinking about it Magane's power is what MUP needs. Her power to turn lies to truth depends on people acknowledging it is a lie.
Now use that on mass scale with the implied to change characteristics and setting depending on fan acknowledgement. Breaking reality. |

One thing I want to bring to you guys attention, it is pretty obvious by now that the side of Selesia and Meteora are not only getting their ass kicked a bit, but have been suffering from battle damage way more obviously than their opponents. Maybe by accepting the creators reality, you open yourself being damaged like you'd be in the real world, too?

Also just the kind of characters they are. Meteora doesn't even have offensive abilities and has to use weapons. Which she promised not to use, and it nearly got her killed, she had a phone in her hand when Blitz shot her. Celestia is a good fighter but she is actually a mech pilot. That's presumably when she is at her strongest, but the mech was destroyed by Himegimi. As seen in this episode she has no special attacks, unlike Alice who has shown several. Her creator also noted before that she was at her limit fighting Mamika without the mech. |

Unfortunately the good guys are kind of in a bad spot. Both in situation and accessibility to firepower. I'm sure Selestia could handle herself better if she at least had that mech. But such is. They'll need to find a way to give her some kind of power-up.
Have a stubborn person like Alice and Blitz who is unfortunately a pragmatic villain. He seems pretty relaxed in all this, but he's also willing to kill the other side to simplify things. Puts Mamika in a position of basically having to defend the other side. Though pretty darn likely she's being manipulated into going all out by Blitz. But it's better than letting him kill Meteora. I'm pretty sure Alice was going to lose though...Honestly Alice seems like the worst person to fight against someone who literally uses lies and wordplay. Now it would have actually helped them out quite a bit to have Alice basically kill herself...but don't think they'd be interested in going that route with it either.
