It will definitely alter the events and some of the cameos. How thoroughly, I don't think anyone knows, at this point. But give it time.

Spoiler for Cameo and DA:O spoilers:

From experience, if you choose to have crowned Alistair alone, he shows up with Teagan in Act 3 - to ask for the Templar's help in a little border dispute with Orlais - and talks with you for a while (also quips about Isabella, if she's with you).
The werewolves also show up, either having been saved by the Warden or through a relative of one trying to save them, after they killed the Dalish elves and helped against the Archdemon.
Also, when you pick the "No Compromise" choice, there's a quest about Amaranthine nobles plotting against the Warden-Commander, and you have to kill those who escaped to Kirkwall.

There should be a lot more, and we will know them, eventually.

The Alistair cameo just made me wish he was in the game more. "Swooping is bad." Also a plus with Alistair's arrival is a confirmation that our DA:O character is doing fine as long as he didn't vanish into any portals.

Bit surprised that Leliana just went off to be the Divine's personal rogue. Figured with everything being fine our character she'd have stuck around there.

Of course Zevran is just having fun with the Crows. He's just taking apart that organization .

While we can argue the morality of Anders actions, you can't possibly argue their efficiency. The guy started a total mage rebellion and destroyed the Chantry almost single-handedly, Circle and all.

I have to remember if there's a way to just spontaneously burst into cheers. 'Cause that's what I did on the other end of the screen.

That'll depend on what you did in Witch Hunt. Other details surrounding a future cameo would probably be also affected if you did the dark ritual or not, and how it was done.

On the subject of DLCs, apparently Bioware hasn't implemented anything from the DLCs into the game. In other words, only stuff from your imported Origins or Awakenings file will affect DA2. Can anyone confirm this?

It's true. A few threads on the Bioware forums have asked this and a dev confirmed it.

I did Dagna's quest (oops)

When I sacrifice my Mage Warden to kill the Archdemon, Alistair promise to rebuilt a new tower and give the Mages the right to rule themselves free from the Templars.

Without spoiling much, does this have an effect in DA2?

(If it matters, I had Alistair marry Anora without hardening him it seems)

Don't get close to him. If you're a mage it's a joke, but as a dual-wield rogue it can be a bit rough. Dash in, use Twin Fangs or some other hard-hitting move (Assassinate is nice, too), then Evade back out, and kite him around the room.

I found him pretty easy to take down even on Hard.

depends on your class if you have enough potions you should be able to just tank him with the rogue/warrior, just make sure to strafe out of his knock down charge.
if your a mage just use a slow/disable, move away and shoot him. Just kite him while they cool down and repeat.

I just kited him around the room while my TF and Assassinate cooled down...

What's hard is if you don't duel him, and have to fight his entire entourage. On Hard, my party basically died within half a minute. Healing just can't keep up with all that damage all at once, especially not in this game. If I could have the healing spells from Origins it'd be not so bad...

He does, the life of the Wardens get extended by another 10~20 years

It has been confirmed by Gaider that Alistair / Anora asked the Chantry to give the circle autonomy, but the Chantry said "No"

About Dagna's quest... her research is overlooked by the Chantry if you complete Brother Burkel's quest as well (opening a Chantry building in Orzammar), as the dwarves riot and kill Burkel. Either way, there's contemplation for an Exalted March upon the dwarves.
